Criticial info for everyone with a ultrawide monitor, including myself. I'll wait until the software is further developed. Thank you. Great impact on my purchase decision. You saved me 200 bucks!
@@isakstorm7373 Don't know. To be honest, I am not sure that there was ever a problem. Could be, but make no sense to me from a technical perspective. It works like Philips ambilight, the "screen sampler" just reflects the colour on your monitor. If the game is officially supported, the lightning effects might be a bit more specific, but it is not needed for the dynamic lightning. Does not matter if 16:9 or ultrawide (why should it?). He also did not show the problem in the video and does not answer to me anymore, so again dont know what the problem is. For everyone who wants a little-medium ambilight effect with really heavy bass sound, I'd recommand it. I bought it a 2 weeks ago or so. A remote is missing, and the software is a mess from a user view, but in general I,m really happy with the system.
Thanks for your review. Appreciate the amount of time you put into it. I also was looking at an ultrawide monitor but I think im gonna stick with my 16:9
whoa this is super cool man the only issue is I don't play games but I got the speakers, and i really want the lights to be as cool as when the games are played on the monitor.. and i actually got dual monitors but it seems it could only sample the screen one e.g. the main screen for me..
Thank you so much for sharing this review! Really really would love these speakers, but I have an ultrawide monitor. How have the speakers been working with the ultrawide lately? Would love to see/hear an update.
Nothing changes except needing the hand the monitor higher if you want the speakers directly in the monitor. Mine sit slightly behind any monitor I use so it’s not an issue for me.
I don't get the Problem with 21:9. I have an ultrawidescreen and no problems. The speakers will reflect whatever is on screen due to the possibilty to change the lightning areas on the screen as you mentioned in the video.
Part of the problem also is certain games don’t support the light sync. I talked with Logitech and No Mans Sky, RDR 2 and Doom don’t. Hopefully this gets fixed in the future but they made it seem like it was on the game side. That doesn’t make sense to me but I got tired of messing with it
@@1UpNerdcore As mentioned, the screen sampler does reflect the colour on screen so I don't see the problem. It is basically ambilight. If the game is officially supported, the effect MAY BE match the game a bit better/more specific, but in general it is the same. Also I simple don't understand whats the deal with 21:9', sorry. I've an ultrawide hack with DS 3 (which is supported by lightsync) and it works. It also works with, lets say, deep rock galactic in 21:9 (not supported by lightsync). There is really no need to play in 16:9 at all to use the dynamic light. I would instant return the system, if it would not work with ultrawide.
I just bought the speaker. But when I go to screen sampler in G hub, lights just went off. I did all the mapping but still won't display any lights. I was thinking it is because I was using a laptop. Will it matter if I was using a laptop or a desktop PC? Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance.
It might be since the laptop has the built in screen vs running from a tower to an external monitor via a DP port but I’m not 100% sure. I’ll have to do some searching on it.
Thank you for responding 😊😊 Yes, i tried with games but still nothing. I only have small games since my laptop is potato. I'm still building my desktop. Maybe I'll just have to wait and see until I completed my pc build. Btw, have you tried using a laptop with the g560?
@@wildwolf637 I have the speakers and am using them on a laptop. Apparently the port doesn't matter. Tried it in a USB gen 1, USB gen 2, still the same issue. The only fix i found was to completely uninstall anything logitech related, then do a clean install of the OLD Logitech Gaming Software (not the new G Hub). Using that one, the screen sampler works beautifully. If i try to make it work on the G Hub all of the options work except the screen sampler.
Hey i have a logitech g560 working fine but when i play games such a gta 5 i don't get the same effect as you when the cops are chasing etc , do u have any solution for this
Some problems such as that have to do with how the game software is interfacing with the Logitech software. That’s the response I got from Logitech with my problems in doom and no mans sky
HI, thanks for the video.. just question is it working with netflix? I get these speaker since two weeks now and impossible to make it working with netflix whether it is with the application or the website. Thanks
Great tutorial. Is it possible to have sound coming out of your gaming headset instead of the speakers but have the rgb lighting on the speakers active (screen sampling) or pre-set rgb light? Thanks.
Can the settings be adjusted for TVs? I use it for my TV and PS5 but I don’t have light sync or brightness set, it’s just shifts colors every few seconds and flashes slightly.
I've got these but screen sampling isn't saving between profiles. Any ideas why? Say profile 1 has them saved in the 4 corners and then when I go to profile 2 and set them up in the middle of the screen when I go back to profile 1 they have changed again...
I personally have never had it crash. It doesn’t work in some games though. No mans sky and red dead redemption 2 for instance. I use the audio sampler instead for those games though which works good
Try turning them off and then back on while playing the game to see if it resets the lights. If that doesn’t work, go to a windowed display of the game for a second and they squally click back on and then you can switch back to full screen.
When you set up the zones just don’t set to outside 4 corners put them in the inside 4 corners in the middle and. You can play in full screen ultra wide You may turn people off product bc you don’t know how to set it up
