Just learned something new .... "Giving a title to an image"... No wonder my renders are lifeless and too generic looking .. Love the Hero image btw ❤️.
yesss Yazzer! This is so underrated! It seems pretty dumb, but it makes you focus more on the image and what you imagine it could be! You can compare it to giving a title to an art piece. Some of the images by MIR have great descriptions and titles that make you understand the thought process behind the image.
The render with lights and traffic is jaw dropping. All this from lumion? You are amazing honestly. So happy you created a youtube channel. Thanks and good luck
Thanks for the comment!Yeah, it's crazy how far Lumion has gotten over the years. If it had more color correction options, like LUTs and color grading, it probably wouldn't even need photoshop!
"We want to create visual emotional experiences of spaces that don't yet exist." After this sentence I knew I was watching the right person to educate myself further in my profession. Thanks a lot for providing everything until now. Lovely work!
I think you covered very important aspects of visualisation. Those techniques really take the image to the next level. Learning a lot from you, thanks a lot!
thanks Melis! I love talking about things that aren't necessarily technical, like emotions. It makes the image making process so much more artistic and personal.
This was really useful to break from the typical "Lumiony" render, Getting a render out has become easy but making it Unique and lifelike is still a bit tricky. Would enjoy more Videos in this series to get quick renders but still lifelike.
That's right! That will differentiate the arch viz studios from the person that just hits the render button. Same as anyone with an iPhone to a pro photographer. Creativity, uniqueness, and emotionality are harder to grab than technical aspects
Very well done steven. The technical barriers for creating renders are very little now (with all render engines), so we have more time to be creative. This is a great example to follow, thanks for showing your process 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
Dude, you have teach me a lot in all of these videos, i'm really thankfull. Parcero muchas gracias por todo el aprendizaje, creo que hablo por muchos cuando digo que nos ha salvado con todos los datos, ojalá el canal siga creciendo, mucha suerte mi pana. Desde Colombia, en los llanos Orientales.
I was always going in a direction that edged towards this idea but never knew how to finish it. And there was always an unfinished look to the render. All these tips help a lot. Thank you so much for this vid💯
Awesome! Thanks! That was my favorite one as well, but since I did it towards the end of the project process, it was complicated to incorporate it as one of the main images. THanks!
These images are really un-lumionlike (amd that’s a compliment!) The mood of both images is unique. Would you be able to share the lumion effects settings for them? I’d even consider buying them as a paid asset
You make the best-looking Lumion renders in the business. They don't make a very good photo-realistic render, but you give them what may be an even better artistic look. Wonder if they will partner up with you.......your post improves their look 10x. Need to help them with a SIB plugin.
thanks, Greg! Although I have to be honest, I know a lot of artists that work entirely with Lumion and make these images look like a joke, haha. Also, I don't know if it wasn't clear in the video, but at 11:41 I mention that this is a sponsored video that we did in partnership with Lumion. And I guess the SIB plugin would render out cool exterior renders but shitty interior ones, just like me haha
@@ShowItBetter I must say, years ago I couldn't imagine that an "Alex Hogrefe" exterior render could be made in a day or even half day (depending on molding). But with the latest tools of Lumion and your tips on composition and color, someone with as little as six weeks of practice it is now quite possible. Thanks for your help!
The problem is once we all agree that a certain subconscious mix of elements generally creates a certain emotion, a computer can easily filter and optimize for it - the same way googling “cozy home” will always show fireplace pictures
Of course! I understand your concern. It's true that a computer can be programmed to optimize for certain emotional responses based on specific elements. However, it's important to remember that emotion and design are not always straightforward. A design can have all the "right" elements, but still not evoke the desired emotional response. In addition, as designers, we have the ability to create something truly unique and personal for our clients. We can incorporate their individual style, preferences, and story into the design, making it more than just a collection of elements optimized for a certain emotional response. So, while there may be certain "tried and true" design elements, there's still room for creativity and personalization in design.
Brilliant tutorial. I will be passing this on to my team to improve our outputs. If the model was supplied, how many hours would a project like that take to complete? I find it challenging to get people to understand what it takes to produce quality renders like yours
thanks Michael! These specific renders took some time due to my computer setup at the time and the time I had to create a video. But no more than 4 intense days to create everything
Hi Steven, truly amazing videos! I’m in the process of meeting and interviewing interesting people in the field, so I wanted to say hi and see if you might be down for an interview on my channel. Let me know! 😊
The amount of detail that you make are incredible... do you mind share that city landscape in sketchup? i want to learn more because my understanding in creating background image are not that great
Honestly, I really appreciated some aspects you covered. They seem trivial but they are very helpful in truth. What do you think of the student version?
How many hours did it take you from scratch to the final model with the whole environment in total? And how many hours did texturing and render preparation took you? Obviously you are very skilled so probably I'll have to multiple by 100 to imagine the amount of time that i would need.
the creation of the model and whole environment, probably took around three days. Since I didn't know from the beginning what points of view I was going to work with, I was prepared to create different angles so I had to populate everything. Plus the model is probably going to work for more tutorials.
Are people you used in 11:05 on lumion? They look realistic and blended with scene but whenever i use people on lumion they look unrealistic and make these emotions fake. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you 😊
Newer versions of Lumion pro have started included some nicer high-res 3D scans of static people, which are great for still renders like these. The animated people in Lumion don't look good in general.
What do you think? I'm an architect student in the 4th year and I love arch vizualisation, currently I work in Archicad + Sketchup for the 3D model, after it I render it in D5 or Twinmotion + Post production PS. For the exterior images I am mainly using the matte painting method in Photoshop. Do you think is it worth learning 3ds Max, for more quality, as it is needed in many architecture visualisation offices in Europe? Thank you!!
Could you please remove rtx 2070 graphics card prchase link from the discription, newer ones are much faster, people may buy older hardware from the link, add a nwere gpu in the link as recommended.
