Fourth video in a series on how to use ModelBuilder in ArcGIS 10.3 to automate geoprocessing tasks. The goal is to build our model to take Boston 311 data, map the data, aggregate it by neighborhood, calculate a series of normalized indices, and output properly symbolized feature layers. In this video we calculate the percentage of overdue Boston 311 reports by neighborhood. The neighborhood layer is spatially joined to the event theme, events that are marked as "overdue" are isolated using the Select tool, and summary statistics are calculated of those overdue reocords, producing a table with a count of overdue reports within each neighborhood. The latter is then joined to the output feature class and the percentage of overdue reports per neighborhood is calculated.

ArcGIS is a mess of a software. I can't believe it's an industry standard.

I disagree. It's not a mess by any means.
