Great idea. A couple of things i would do. cut those up a lot smaller and put some soil over the top of it for two reasons: they would decompose quicker, the soil would cut down on order, and some kind of cover to keep flies and such out.
Thank you for the idea, but I think maybe works better if you put the vegetables in direct contact with the soil, for a faster decomposition without the plastic barrel. Thanks for sharing :)
this is amazing! i love the idea of reusing and not throwing anything away, like having your own compost :) plus no harsh chemicals!!! so how long do you live bottle in there for? is there certain food waste that is known to be better for certain plants? thanks for the video :)
Hi... I have done this all my pots.. but u need to add hole at its base also.. and mud to its bottom and top.. so that peels get breakdown and will reach to plants..
Hello, im a new gardener. Ive got some small pinkish earthworm like insects in my pots... i dont know where they came from! And i think they dont allow the new plants to survive, although earthworms are supposed to be good fr the soil. Any natural remedies to get rid of them? And secondly, how do i know which grubs are good fr my plants and which are not??
I did it with a bigger pot also making some holes at the bottom. Add some garden soil and little water. I covered the top and 2 weeks later the root of the plants that were adjacent to the pot started to go inside looking for the nutrients. Weeks later compost was made as a black gold dirt.

For me no need to put in the bottle, just put directly to the soil... Not necessary use mix peelings...me if I cook potato I put directly to the soil as well as the other peels...
You made holes in the middle of the bottle and almost filled It with kitchen throughout and added water falf was, how the roots will benefit from the fertilizer unless one should refill with water to the top so the water will trickle to the roots. Please explain. Thanks.
You can refill it again and again as it will decompost and roots will extract all stuff. It's a continuous process for ever. Better to add a fistful of compost and sprinkle some butter milk once in while. Happy gardening
@@catiet1735 No smell will come. Cover the veg waste with a handful of soil or compost. No need to water daily. Don't forget to keep the top cover closed always. Subscribe my channel please and will see lot of videos useful
Idea is good but wt is the result for each plant we should do like this for how many days the bottles will remain inside please explain in detail before covering the video
