is it just me... or you never once mentioned u have to select the binance smart chain dropdown in meta-mask? thats an important piece of information is it not? by default its ethereum and people might miss it. and its possible they dont have it at all and need to add it as an option
Once we stake our Cake on the syrup pool we give PancakeSwap all power even the ledger wouldn't stop it if there was a hack or back door to the smart contarct?
Here in lies the risk with Defi. If your staking a significant amount of crypto in defi you can get insurance type products that will cover you against losses from hacks.
My understanding is that if pancakeswap gets hacked with your cake staked, the j hacker will not be able to transfer your cake because your private key is not with pancakeswap, instead on the ledger.... Is my understanding incorrect?

That's half true. When you stake tokens you trust a smart contract - that's true. But it doesn't mean that your private key is security is not important. You have to remember that your private key is the one that can unstake the tokens and send them anywhere. You have to make sure that the private key is secured and using a hardware wallet like Ledger is the best approach. Hope it makes sense :)
Sorry, but i try like 10 times accept the contrat at pancakeswap and my metamask just keep stoping and dont do nothing and my ledger dont see anything to accept, i dont know what to do more :(
Very clear video! Wow! So if I want to swap ETH (on the Ledger) to CAKE I also need BNB in the Ledger account as gas, right? After I done the transaction can I see the balance of CAKE (and BNB) in Ledger Live?
So when you swap BNB for a BEP20 coin on PancakeSwap using this method, will the BEP20 coin be added to your Ledger Nano? Are Ledgers compatible with all BEP20 tokens?

There are 2 ways your tokens can get lost: 1. The smart contract is getting hacked - You have no control 2. Your private key / seed phrase is getting stolen - You can control. We are improving here number 2, how it's clear :)

Your existing wallet is not related to the ledger wallet, the ledger wallet is a new one and it “doesn’t know” about your tokens in the previous wallet. You can send the tokens from your old wallet to the ledger after you connect it to the extension.

I've been followed you and its definitely the dedicated help people in crypto world! Anyway I'm still stuck with the Ledger Nano S in Metamask unable to do any transactions ie swap, withdraw transfer(both between accounts and other. Both Firefox and Chrome) I've been tried blind signing and every way. On the Leger still show "review transaction" and I "Approved" several several times! Still the same. I wanted to take out my initial investment $500 but unable to due to this problem.😭 Any suggestion? Thanks in advance🙏

Johnny, maybe a stupid question, but even if I link my Ledger, wouldn't a hacker still only need to know my my Metamask password to steal funds? They use the password to retrieve my mnemonic secret phrase from Metamask settings, and then input that phrase into their own Ledger device to sign transactions (you can have multiple Ledgers with the same secret). Thoughts?
