Manu, this is such a tough thing to explain to English speakers. I taught Spanish so I have an advantage with the main concept. You explain it so well!

Manu, even though I'm an advanced learner, I still struggle with "piacere," which is truly difficult. Thank you for such a clear and concise explanation, especially this section, which allows for the inclusion of more than one person in the discussion, as in "A me piace molto Roma. A lui no." It's the "he doesn't" part that really helped me. Ancora una volta, grazie mille!!

In English ,we say " I personally" to stress as in " A me "and this tends to imply " I don't know if you do " grazie

Grazie Molti MANU , the Pron. Tonici comes before the sentence or at the End of the sentence ?? Thnx

In English , some of us oldies still use punctuation marks to give more life to the sentence when needed. I was confused by your explanation Manu until I perversely thought in English . Would the placement of a comma after “ a me, …..” strengthen the rhythm of the sentence by giving a breathing space , and underline the intended speech pattern?
@italymadeeasy
@italymadeeasy Год назад
Better not put a comma between subject and verb in Italian. Thank you to be here. A presto, john!😘

Ciao Manu, great video! You might already know by now, but don't forget that "pronoun" in english has the stress on the "pro", so "prónoun", rather than "pronóun" :D (I say this as an English teacher in awe of your commitment to teaching Italian, as opposed to an angry anonymous youtube commenter :P)

ok but what if the comparison is not between different indirect pronouns but between different subjects? (A me piace Firenze, ma non Napoli) Does that work the same?
@johnblaine1479

I don’t think so. Your version has 2 statements , both yours. The idea was the ask the other person for their opinion in a question. ( and you ?)

Grazie.le lezione are very good.but i have a question.why i cant say : (gli piace ballare, ma ci non piace) . Instead . ( a loro piace bellare.a noi no )?
@frederiekvanbeckum2268
@frederiekvanbeckum2268 5 лет назад
tifa souzi Gli piace ballare in this case literally means They like dancing. But if you want to stress that THEY like it but WE don't, then you have to use A loro... followed by A noi no. That's how it works in Italian. Watch the video again as Manu explains it quite clear and surely better than I can.

okay, once again I will have to remind myself not to do it like Spanish - "a ella le gustan las peliculas" - Truth be told Italian is perhaps easier but I'm sure I'm not the only Spanish speaker who makes this mistake. :)
