This effect, plus: you use the item instantly. This can cause some weird effects, sometimes OP sometimes worthless. For example snatching someones weakness policy and activating it without being hit, grabbing someones sitrus berry and eating it before you drop below 50% HP, life orb immediately taking 1/10 of your health, using up your power herb even though you weren't charging a 2-turn move, getting ejected right after pickpocketing an eject pack, the possibilities are very interesting and definitely something Weedle could work with
Something neat about this team that I don't know if everyone watching will notice is that beyond the Hitmontop double Weakness Policy synergy, every other Pokémon on this team that has a way to proc Grimm's second weakness policy (namely Mew and Comfey) also has an item that Grimm benefits very specifically from stealing. The Comfey's Big Root helps with the HP gain from Draining Kiss and Drain Punch, and the Mew's AV works because Grimm has 4 attacking moves. Yet another example of Weedle having absolutely insane awareness while team building. Also that Fling strat in the bonus battle is awesome, for some reason flinging the two random TRs that happen to have 130 base power moves in them is so satisfying to me.
I didn't knew Fling worked like that but, according to Bulbapedia.... "If the user holds a TR, Fling's power is equal to the power of the move the TR contains". So that Weavile literally threw an Overheat power (130% Fling) after activating WeaknessPolicy.... Weedle you are defenetly on another level
So today Weedle taught me that Grimssnarl can learn Power Whip and that not only can you fling TRs, but that fling's base power is based off of TR. TR 43 is overheat so Weavile got stab 130 BP move, that was incredible!
Not to mention super close. How’d that thing live Extreme Speed AND plasma fists? Did he go full HP and attack? Cuz if so, idk I can’t help but imagine not being the more proactive attacker in general
didnt know you could activate your item and then immediately take another item. so cool! one of those weird interactions like knock off where the item is used before its knocked off and oh wow flinging a TR copies the base power of the TR. so dam cool lol

Reminds me of a silly combo I had involving Weavile with Fling and Pickpocket, and Oranguru with Symbiosis and Instruct. Throw your item, get handed another, throw it again! Only works for one round, but I liked the mental image of Weavile chucking stuff at the enemy with Oranguru handing it more while egging it on.
QOD2: I think it would be cool if pick pocket worked like spectral thief. Could also be cool if it worked when you hit the opponent but you only had it for the next turn/you use it when you get it (a la bug bite). You're not looking to keep the item, you're looking to get something from or for it

I really had to look up what was going on with that Fling play in the bonus clip. 7:18 For summary, the Dragapult activates Weakness Policy Pickpocket Weavile and gives them TR43. For TRs, Fling uses the power of the move it contains (10 if it's status or variable), and TR43 is for Overheat You can throw a Weakness Policied 130BP Dark move on Weavile Wow

That pickpocket for Comfey's Big Root was actually genius. Especially running Drain Punch and Draining Kiss. I forgot that it increases how much health any hp steal moves recover for the user.
I think it's bc floral healing targets yourself technically and that's why psychic terrain doesn't stop it, you definitely still are protected from teammate priority
QOTD: Yes, I tried to use it on Weavile before QOTD2: Magician is the better Pickpocket already. It could be made into an identical ability, or buffed to include contact moves used by the Pokémon with Pickpocket to be able to trigger the ability Edit: 2:30 Weedle stop stalking my anime choices, I just started watching Ouran Host Club a week ago =')
Grimmsnarl is my absolute favorite gen 8 Pokemon, so glad to see my hairy boy put in work with a unique strat in a Weedle Twineedle vid. Ngl, you make the most interesting battle vids out of all the people I follow.

Okay the "boot" sound effect you normally use for Beast Boost being used while you fling boots was amazing, but my favourite sfx has to be Snake dying whenever 2 Pokemon faint at the same time. It's soooooo good
I love running sash pickpocket weavile with swords dance! Sometimes it screws you over if theyre scarfed and thus faster but it's really fun when you steal like a choice band and have + 2 banded weavile or something like that

I think what made it work and mine didn’t was I tried to redirect all the moves away from the grimmsnarl instead of JUST healing it but I thought of drain punch drain kiss suck punch Grimm with pickpocket the weakness policy before I liked this video
Such amazing tactics! I thought after the first Weakness Policy Pickpocket I would be happy to watch the same strategy a few more times - then the magic happened and all the setups were so good!
