For example date is as following 1 Ali obtained 456 2 ajmal obtained 234 3ahmed obtained 235 4 wasim obtained 456. Now the obtained marks of Ali and wasim are same. If we apply rank formula we get positions as Ali. 1st Wasim. 1st Ahmed. 3rd Ajmal. 4th. 2nd is missing.
this formula did not apply on the following data. 250,260,281,281,0,200 in this example this formula does not read duplicate value. duplicate value should be assigned same position but it does not work properly.
