Came across one of your videos last Wednesday, February 7th. Received my UEI this Monday, February 12th and just received my CAGE ID today. MANY, Many, many thanks for all you do.
I just spent 10k on a gov con course and pretty much drowned in the over abundance of information it takes to be “caught up” to speed. I like how you keep it simple and make the actionable iterms actually ACTIONABLE! Will be checking in with you!
You sharing all these valuable knowledge is one of the most generous and kindest thing ever. My goal is to be interviewed by you one day and share the success story.
@KizzyParks it's funny because I'm a restaurateur with +11M annual sales and e-commerce business owner and yet through your videos, I'm convinced that GovCon is my next endeavor. You are amazing.
Thanks for sharing! As someone new to Government Contracting would you speak to connecting with subcontractors meaning questions that you ask them to vet and guage their interest in working with you? Is it worth speaking to subcontractors that have government experience or is it preferable to look for those who do not? If a subcontractor agrees to work with us do we need to have an agreement in place with them? And what does that look like? Do we simply explain to the subcontractor that it's government work and then copy the scope of work and ask them to confirm their ability to do the work along with providing their pricing? How do we protect ourselves against the subcontractor who backs out after winning a government contract? I assume multiple bids but I ask these questions because I don't see that anything else matters if you can't get by this particular hurdle of working with subcontractors and how to go about it properly.
hey kizzy thank you so much for the keys you have given i followed every step of the registration and i received my uei code and cage code, question do you always have to pay upfront before you complete the job or is there any contracts where the buyer pays like 20% up front ?
When you're doing the proposal do you list yourself as the contractor or the actual contractor that you hire? Also, when you send a proposal request to the contractor do you make your own with what the government is asking? I wouldn't assume you send the document to them to search through - you'd want it clear and concise as to what they're looking for.
What websites should you pay for that help with product research , history of part, and easy to work with? Also , for part distribution- do u like parts base or ILS ? 🔥 content
Let's say you're starting from scratch with no registered business (llc) or all the documentation needed to work with the gov. What documents are needed and cash or credit to get the deal done?
Quick question. I recently dove head first into gov contracting. Just got my LLC on the first of this month. Is it true I have to wait 5 weeks to register so my EIN can age? I followed your videos and went through the whole registration process with you but I got an email saying my EIN didn’t match my Taxpayer name and when I called they said it was because EIN was not old enough and I should wait about 5 weeks. Just curious to see if it was the same for you because I have never heard anyone talk about this before. Really appreciate your videos and hope you can help me understand this!
@@KizzyParks thank you very much! So I should just keep submitting my registration even if they say it failed until our info goes through? Sorry about all of the questions you are asking huge help!
I went through the same thing. I resubmitted with the information I used on my taxes. I used my name and my social security number and received my CAGE Code 4 days later. You do NOT have to wait 5 weeks. They told me the same thing, and I went about it in a different way. I did a pivot and it worked!
