I didn't find much helpful as it doesn't tell how to practically implement (with a live example). BUT, it solved one of my big question that we can add it with GTM! So a big thanks to you to answer my query.. As a suggestion, please if you can make a step by step tutorial for how to add schema taking an example and doing it A-Z in the video. Thanks..
Very, very helpful video. After searching the whole day, in the end, I found this quality video that describes everything properly. Thank you for such great-quality content in the video.
Very detailed and to the point video. Super helpful. Thankyou SMA Marketing for all the help and hard work you guys put in the making of this video. Cheers.
Thanks you. Great simple informative video that was worth its weight in gold. Wow, I couldn't believe how much easier it has made my life getting products approved and not kicked back to me. I was really clueless.
If you want to add it directly to the page you can past it in any HTML element. There are some other options using plugins but adding directly to the page is easiest.
We recently updated our free Schema / JSON LD WordPress plugin that we developed years ago. This new version has all the latest standards and makes it a lot easier to insert schema data into WP sites. You can find the plugin here: wordpress.org/plugins/local-search-seo-contact-page/ We also have a multi-site version that we are putting the finishing touches on and should be finished shortly.
Yes, You can add multiple schema types to define all the elements you need to mark up on your site. You can add them in all one JSON tag or create multiple tags.
I noticed it is very common to use the Compacted Document Form instead of the Flattened Document Form which is how yoast would have it set up, where the JSON-LD is structured inside an @graph. For example { "@contecxt" : "/.../" , "@graph" : [{...}, {...}] }. Are there any good reasons why one would use one form over the other? I only see examples of Compacted Forms being used on RU-vid.
Thank you for your time and work! Question: What is the schema for a business that sells 2 mobile apps from the same website? What should I choose for that?
There are a few options. Directly on the page is best, but you can also use Tag Manger. I am finishing up a course that will walk users through the entire process. Will share a link once its up!
Very insightful. Does it take long for the results to reflect? Also i see nothing on the structured data section on my webmasters having added schema through google tag manager. Appreciate your help :)
Great, under Search Appearance > Structured Data. This will show you how many items you have marked up. If don't see anything here, check you code and my sure it validates using search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/
This is great, thank you! But what I don't understand is where you paste the code. Do you go to a specific page on your website, activate the developer mode, and drop it at the top?
Thank you so much for this tut. But I have a question, where do I paste my JSON-LD markup for my woocommerce product website. It is the text editor or inside my product description?
Hi I followed your video regarding this schema.org on our event website. I created a HTML file on Jsold.com and make sure there is nothing left but still, my website is not updated with it. Can you help me out with this thanks?
Hi Thanks for sharing the simple and easy way to add schema.org. Please let me know we need schema.org for each page of the website or schema.org applied on the whole website.
Most useful video about adding schema because you don't just use words like "add" and "fix" by themselves. You use them and show what it means using them.^^ Question: if I have a page with several things to mark up. Do I put them in the same tag in gtm just by adding the complete code for each underneath or do I create for each schema ( e.g. each image on same page) an extra tag for that page? If I sell products, which cost 5 digit price and don't use a Webshop, only put them online showing them to people we have it. Would you use image or product schema? If I use a local business schema that would be an "all pages" tag right? In the local business schema one add a URL, would it be wise to add a website schema too simultaneously for all pages? Lots of questions but you said ask in video ;) I just had to start learning about this stuff, so I know very little about usage.
Great questions! So when adding schema you can string it all together using JSON. If you go that route, make sure that you test it. Since JSON won't slow your site down, I recommend that you break them up based on purpose. So I break up my tags by Organizational Schema, Blog Schema, Video Schema and so forth. Then I can go back and check each tag and how it fires.
Hi SMA Marketing, i have two questions. The first is if you know of a website where i can past the URL of my competitors and I can get their schema code? The second question is about tag manager. As you said, tag manager is one of the easiest ways to implement the code. However, can you tell me what is the best way, according to you? I want the website to be as fast and as properly coded as possible, so i'm looking for the best way, not the easiest way. Thank you so much!
Hey Ivan, you can out any url into the structured data testing tool and if there is schema, you'll be able to see it and copy the code. search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool. For implementation, if you can add the code directly to the page header that is the best.
Thanks for best video on schema , I want to add schema for my website which is base on medical advice and treatment of diabetes, how i will do schema code for that and how i can add schema code for wp website, please help
You want to add local business or organization markup to you about page and add your social links there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1fqcIAToFO4.html
100% The information that you are able to connect to the search engines is extremely powerful. I agree, the requirement for pricing is annoying, but they don't always show it on the SERPs. But one client we added this markup to saw the revenue generated from marked up pages increase more than 500%. JSON-LD is a method for encoding linked data, like structured data. JSON has a broader user for sending data from a server or web application. You can insert JSON-LD on Wix I believe in the custom html widget.
i tried it wont accept it but i do have a workaround but when i enter it in the mark up tool it tells me i have 4 warnings reviews, aggregate ratings, global code an something else is missing. how do i get this rating? reviews? or the global product codes? and will this affect the page and would be better off without add the SD?
@@HeirloomReviews Overall it looks good. Those warnings are ones I see a lot. If you have reviews or more pricing info, add it. If not, you can leave it blank.
@Shelley Media Arts Hi, My website is about wallpapers and with google tag manager can create structured data and which category should i chose in schema.org
Hey there! You'll want to definitely do the basics like organizations and blog schema. For your images, creating a GTM Script to add schema.org/image would be very benefical.
You can. But you really want to add the code to the pages that code reflexes. For instance, you won't want product schema on every page. Each page should have it's own specific markup.
@SMAMARKETING I tried following the steps on the tutorial, when I tested it using Google Structured Data Testing Tool I got two errors: url - The url field is recommended. Please provide a value if available. review - The review field is recommended. Please provide a value if available. I placed the cursor on each and a part of my code was highlighted but I actually don't know what to do with that
@@smamarketing Thanks for your reply, I actually kept trying and I got it right just a minute ago, now it has no errors. Here it is: truth-express.com/products/portable-electric-ionic-hairbrush
Hello, Can somebody help me please! if I have a json schema on footer, must it be different for all pages? What I mean is that I must have a different schema for home page, a different one for about us, a different one for contact?
What is a good method of reviewing your competitor's websites that are using schema markup that you're competing against? From a website that is just starting to use schema, I feel it would be a good practice to review sites that are performing/implementing schema well. Any tools or methods you might recommend that would provide information on someone with our verticle we could look up and review?
Very helpful video! Thank you! Question: a contact us page can have an immutable schema markup but if you are doing a blog and you add schema markup via Google Tag Manager, don't you need to adjust the schema markup for every post? Is that something that Tag Manager does automatically with the schema you paste, or is there a more elaborate approach to do so via GTM?
Great question. So for your blog articles, you would need updated information for each post. This is where GTM is super helpful. You can create variables to dynamically pull that data from your site and put it into your schema. I'll do a video on this!
Thank you !!! This is very helpful. QUESTION: if i have only html code(i do the html markup myself - no cms), where do i put the schema markup JSON-LD? Head or Body? In order to be crawled properly. Thx
How do I add different schema markup on different pages? For instance, the About page may be a 'Person' markup whereas a Company page may be an "Organisation" markup.
Thanks! So Structured Data is a way to mark up your data. Schema.org is the standard for the industry. Search Console will help you verify your structured data and help you diagnose any issues.
