@PainTrainOutdoor catching trout? Especially trout that size. 2lb is far less visible to the trout. I catch far more fish using a lighter line. I even caught a 22" rainbow on 2lb. You just need to be gentle with it. Not criticizing, just my thoughts. Nice fish!
I'm pretty sure there 4lb line on there. I don't think I mention line at all just what the rod was rated for. But using a crank bait, you're giving that fish almost no time to see the line. When it sees the lure it has to decide NOW if they're going to strike. Water was a bit high and fast and slightly stained. I do agree though, on the fly rods in crystal clear water 2lb is the only way to go!
