At least stuff the has low battery consumption, and have a broad face to implement a solar panel, and is expensive enough to justify all the trouble to do it. In the end not a lot of things apply to it. But hey, calculators do it since decades
great idea from long time ago and S finally did it. the remote is too small for my fingers the buttons could have been a little bigger and higher. they need a light for the buttons and a "find my control " feature also.
Don't be stupid. Solar charging has been out for decades why do you purpose it hasn't caught on? It's bad enough it takes 45 minutes to charge an electric car at a charging station.

Please keep the pricing of upcoming 2021 TV's as reasonable as possible. 🙏 Last year 55inch Q60T priced (MRP) $699 in USA, was priced (MRP) ₹134900.00 in India. $699 is around ₹50,000 to ₹55,000 in direct currency conversion. Also, USA tends to have lot more discount during sales like black friday. India price is %250 more than USA price.
That's because sales taxes are set either by the individual states, counties, and local governments to bolster revenue to take care of the needs of the community residing there.
What wasn't mentioned, nor can I find the information anywhere, is how do you know how much charge is left? When it's charging, the top light comes on, but when it's fully charged does tgat light go out or turn green or somehow let you know it's fully charged.
Try using it in the dark - tiny buttons, no back lighting...Useless unless the lights are on and still feels cheap regardless. Have you ever used a high quality, back-lit remote with real buttons?
I have a 2022 QLED with solar remote. Where is the very important function for toggling to the channel I was previous on? I see so many questions about this on the web and have yet to find a viable solution. Too many responses are referring to going back to scroll through all channels . That's not what customers are asking how to do. Can you help? So how do we toggle back and forth between 2 channels?
When I plug it in it’s blinking red then stops and the red light goes out. Is it suppose to turn green when done? Or is it just suppose to go out? Or is my charger not working????

Its cool and definitely needed but I haven't change the batteries in my samsung remote in over a year but some have to be changed all the time maybe better tech in some remotes?
I have this remote and I hate it! 9 times out of 10 when I try to move the curser in any direction it takes off and goes crazy, so it’s super hard to even change the channel! It did this from day one!

or a marketing stunt. that battery will charge a finite amount of times. what then when it no longer charges? most will discard the remote instead of learn how to disassemble and change the internal battery themselves. that itself is a huge environmental issue with more e-waste. most people already use rechargeable NiMH AA batteries, which can be recycled at many stores including Home Depot. nice try.
Why dont they use a wireless charger to charge the remote? That makes the most sense, plus, i dont know how effective that small solar panel would be? Great idea Samsung, lets hope the dependency of single use batteries decline in the next few years. Still keen to see what Apples TV and dock station is gonna look like.

Not a bad idea but why ? I don't like the operation. It's to menu driven using the same button , poor button . How many times times will it operate for. So to make life a bit better I paired my Bose which has some limitations so I will try my Sony.
Great idea but the remote needs to be directly pointed at the TV for it to work. I had to purchase a non-solar Samsung remote that uses batteries. Why would the old remote work when used under a blanket and not this one? I will have to buy extra remotes because I think that this is a good idea but, not practical.
Why we need remote use your phone to control it stop making a remote. This will eliminate the use of 99 million (AAA batteries and remotes) over 7 years. Big fan.
