Thanks for video. I successfully managed to get cooling working again. The only issue I had was when I got a normal range reading and switched off the engine, the guage went into the alert range. The refill had already been removed so I was able to use the trigger to reduce the system pressure. I think the best method is to stop just when the cooling starts coming through the vents.
This product worked better than a professional machine did early, weeks before on my MB CLS (218). There was probably a tiny leak that this product resolved.
@@fungames24 Yeah, that's how it should work in theory, in real life it doesn't suction it in like it says it should, then you end up wasting your money on this and your gas as it leaks again in a few months time.
@@LaurenceGough Maybe you should get you leak fixed. Some leaks are slow and take a couple of years. Other leaks are fast like yours. None of that changes the way it has to be charge. If your AC doesn't charge while the low side is below 30 PSI then there is something wrong with your can or hose. The can pressure is 70-100 PSI and guaranty a charge.
@@fungames24 well it's still quite a slow leak at around 3-4 months until the compressor stops turning (still fair bit of pressure at this stage). Plenty more than the 2 weeks STP recommends. Refilling with refrigerant is easy and never a problem. The problem is with this STP stop leak. It does not work following the instructions to the letter. It's just a Ford focus, nothing unusual.
@@fungames24 sorry I was regarding their stop leak product not this refill. I forgot the video is just the standard recharge. Just warning others that the STP stop leak does not work.
Though is is called recharge ,in effect it is topping up the 10% of refrigerant that most air conditioning systems lose annually, in the house hold fridge , refrigerant gas is sealed and circulates in advanced glass tubing , obviously this can not be done in the hostile environment of a car engine,
Bought one today 31/5/23. States 315g on the bottle. I weighed the bottle full and empty. The full bottle was 1114g and the empty bottle is 884g. So total bottle contents 230g. Over 30% less than stated on the bottle. If that isn't false advertising I don't know what is. It's a con, excuse the pun.
@@Derrmo i thought this also, i used a full bottle and i thought my ac was broken, as i thought there was a leak so i went and got another can and that managed to get it going but im with you i used to so must have only put in 460g and i need 500g, i thought the full can was full as stated..... such a scam this company
Don't bother it doesn't work - waste of money and then the gas leaks again and you have to buy another £60 bottle to add to the cost of the sealant too. Yes, I followed every letter of the instructions.
Purchased this kit, A/C now makes vibrating noise when first switching on! Retailer doesn't want to know & STP have failed to answer email. Save you money, I'll now have to take car to A/C specialist to have the system properly re-gassed!
I had a similar problem.... but i've managed to fix mine... these cans of gas tend to put not only refrigerant liquid in the system but a lot of unnecessary gas/air making the system way too pressurized.... I solved mine by having everything switched off and putting the filling contraption back on the low pressure valve without the gas canister attached... i then gradually (in small bursts) released the air from the system.... it seemed to put everything back to normal.... I released enough air so that when the aircon was running the guage or dial was just about in the green 'filled' marker...
@@DoubleOProductions pro tip tight there. Must be what the larger tap is for . I've seen it being done with a real machine . There is a blue and red tap . It must fill and extract almost like a flush.
