It just makes me laugh every time my cat hears your voice coming from my computer, he comes running and has to sit on my lap while your video runs. He loves you like the rest of us do. 💜
@tracywren9681 That is the cutest thing ever!!! I loved hearing that. My husband’s friend’s Ian has a new cat Smokey and she heard my voice for the first time on FaceTime and immediately looked at the phone. He said that she never does that and how cute it was. He said that she must love my voice and I must remind her of her mom’s voice. So every time I she hears my voice, she always looks and responds to my voice. He loves it. ❤
In my family, all babies are called 'Fred' before they are born. It helps take the pressure off the parents for coming up with a name. Thanks for the striping tape tips.
You said Polly for a girl and I was like yes, Polyurethane. Also this video is so well times! I invited my friends over for a mani night with all growing horde of nail polish and ordered some striping tape!
Oh gosh I'm honored to hear it haha!! Welcome to my little corner of the internet! If there's anything you want to know that you don't see a video on, feel free to ask or request a detailed vid on😋
Yay! I've had striping tape for so long now but I have yet to use it since I wasn't sure how. I just did a magnetic mani, but now I know what I'm doing for my next mani!
It seems like forever since you’ve had a fresh 101 video! I love going back and watching old how to videos but am so excited for the new ones! I hope you’re healing well! Thanks for putting this one in the can for us!! ❤😂😅 💅
I laughed so hard at the baby name story. I'm gonna have to start doing this to my brother, he's having a baby soon XD Loved the diagonal, stripey sort of french nail, I'm gonna try that one tomorrow!
Absolutely loved this video Kelli! I've been using striping tape for years and I still learnt a couple handy tips! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this video!!! 💜
You are AWESOME....I only use regular nail polish, and I have short nails. Thank you for nail art on short nails with regular polish....you should more nail art videos
I watched this video and the Valentines Day Ideas one like 3 times each and ordered the striping tape below to share with my bestie. Thank you so much for this tutorial video's they bring my mind peace in this crazy world we live in. I hope you are healing well & all is great at home.
Oh thank you so much Elizabeth, I'm so glad you're finding the videos helpful!! Nail art is definitely a great self care hobby to forget about the rest of the world for a bit haha :)
This video reminded me that I should really try more designs with striping tape as decorations. Also another tip I think you didn’t mention: Applying topcoat in the direction of the stripes so they don‘t smudge.
Thank you for sharing. I can see myself putting on a good movie and doing this to my nails one lazy afternoon. Looks fun! And it looks professional, but it's effortless. 💜💜💜
Well, you inspired me again! It's something I've often wished I had while I'm doing my nails, but I never think about it afterwards and so I've never actually purchased any... until today. I got the one on your list. Thanks for the reminder and the recommendation!
You peeling the tape is so satisfying. I definitely need to use striping tape often bc these manicures are everything ❤️❤️ Lmao the watermelon one and Mayonnaise names are everything, I love that idea 😂😂❤️❤️❤️ Love the look and outfit ❤️❤️❤️❤️
ok... i was pretty sure that i wanted to do the stain glass look today but then i saw the diagonal accent at the end and now i just want to see what other ideas you have up your sleeves. :) compilation, yes please!!
I bought a multipack of striping tape last year and I haven’t used it yet because I couldn’t even manage decent results with French mani tape guides. Thanks to this video I’ve seen the error of my ways! I was leaving the tape on my nails too long and peeling up the polish. Ready to try out my striping tape now. Thanks!!
Love the Polish 101 series so keep 'em coming! 😉 Here's a name for you... Rue short for Kangarue (I'm from Utah, I wouldn't put it past anyone here giving a child a wild name with an even wilder spelling.)
I have never tried striping tape but now I can’t wait to try! Thank you for teaching me that it’s not that intimidating. It’s only polish right? The stained glass was my favorite! I want to eventually try using some of my holographic polishes. ❤ May for mayonnaise 😂
can you please do a swatch and compare of some of the cheaper polishes? like L.A. Colors and pop•arazzi? I'd love to know the difference especially with some of the different formulas like glitter and other special effects as well as basic cremes?
Hi I got many colouful stripping tapes with my nail art tool kit. I once made a scenery collage and gifted it to get many compliments. Still I do have many for nail art😊
Thank you for doing the designs at the end. I took screenshots so I can recreate some of the looks, especially the last few ones and I absolutely loved the brown one with the gold as well. It does look like a designer bag look. I love these kinds of videos. Could you do more nail tutorial videos please. I love them. Can you do some for St. Patricks Day Please. Of Course after Valentine’s Day. Thank you in advance. Love, Amy from Rhode Island. ❤
Oh my goodness! THANKS SO MUCH! I see what I have been doing wrong. Definitely, please.... make more striping tape 101 videos. I bought SO many of different colors but they peel off almost instantly. I have learned a thing or two.
Loved the video ❤ Your 101s are always so helpful. Oh, thought of some bad names (your Mel, Watermelon made me giggle) Nic, Picnic Toni, Tonic Pat, Apathy Tim, Timber
Thank you so much for the ideas, I got those striping tapes a looong time ago and I never use them tbh. You gave some cool ideas now. I'll difintetly try some of them very soon, super exicted 🤩🤩
Thank you so much for this video! I love it! I'm going to try some striping tape manis. And yes, I would love more striping tape videos! But also, back at Halloween I got your Advent calendar set. And now I have my first tiny brush for the fine work, and my first dotting tool. I love geometric designs and would love a video showing both striping tape and dot designs. Even manis using both tools! May I ask what your lip color is in this video? It's beautiful. I sure hope you are healing well and will be fully recovered soon.
@@KelliMarissa it by any chance you have Essence colour shield top coat - it didn't smudge my dots the last time I used it. It is not a water based and I was pleasantly surprised :)
Thanks for the helpful striping tape guide! So informative, and the nail art is all gorgeous! I'm very much enjoying your baby name game. Here's a couple of suggestions for your list: Liz, short for Lizard. Nic, short for Nicotine. Sal, short for Salicylic Acid. And of course, how could we forget Tess, AKA Testicular (middle name Torsion if you fancy being more medically inclined!) 😂
When I do nail art, I use the smudge free topcoat from Maniology (idk how to spell that), and then a regular one. You still need to give your nails a solid 5-10 minutes to dry before you use it, but with regular topcoat, I’ve ruined really cute manis even letting them dry for 30+ minutes.
I remember a long time ago I saw something about how you could call a child Liz and have people think it was short for Elizabeth but then their actual name is Lizard 😂 I feel like this tracks with your name list!
Love your 101 videos, would love a stamping video I am struggling with doing a background stamp eg snowflakes ❄️ in background with something stamped on stop. Mine all seam to disappear or over shadow the main image if that makes sense. Not sure if its because I only do short nails, and it's not big enough area for both if that makes any sense. Also can you recommend your best gold stamping polish?
Kelli, do you have any of the unkosher market polishes? The company discontinued their polishes, but they had everything bagel, latkes, and pastrami inspired shades.
