In this tutorial, I show you an easy and fast way how to use tappits, letter and number cutters. These pink tappit cutters can be intimidating for a beginner, I know a lot of us experienced cake decorators have struggled with them when we first started as well. there are different ways of using the tappits, however out of all the methods I've tried using the tappits, I find this the easiest way, hopefully this tutorial can help (I know, I've been so frustrated by tappits before! :) )!
1. Roll out fondant very thin, let it air (dry) out for about 5 mins.
2. Dust the letter cutter.
3. Press cutter firmly down into fondant, and 'rub' it a bit against the table.
4. Make a fist, place fist behind the tappit.
5. Tap the tappit against the table.
6. Fondant letter should pop right out!
