Why is butterfly selling the Amicus Prime with a Tablet? Wouldn't it be better to allow user control through an app on user's own smart phone? Wouldn't that be cheaper?
If I don’t leave my tablet on and running the app (plugged in of course) it disconnects. The solution I found was to go in to the tablet settings and turn off Bluetooth, then turn it back on again. After that you can go back to the app and it will connect again.
cant we just buy a alpha or expert and get a firmware update? lol who wants that cheap aliexpress TFT tablet ffs? I can just use my OLED smartphone on the side of the table! wasnt 1000€ enough? I hate greedy companies. And instead of making just a single option with all capabilities, they just do what they learned on Apple´s business book: they create lower versions and bottleneck them on purpose, so that people buy the most expensive one to have full potential of a robot, because a person is not willing to buy a new robot 1 or 2 years after. it is so shitty mentality that makes Humans below cockroaches. The most stupid thing is that such a device is not hard to make by PhD/master students at a technical university, with some mechanical/electrical engineering background. They could sell such a device for about 300€. I am just pissed I chose other engineering field, and have no friends with mechanical background to ask for this project. But Butterfly has to pay the players they sponsor, as people started to find alternatives to their overpriced rackets with the same design from the 90´s (30 years!)
