This video shows you how to use your BabyBjorn Carrier Harmony with your newborn. If you’d like to support the work, I do for free here on RU-vid you can buy me a cuppa via this link - www.buymeacoff...
Genuinely watched this on the TV and came to my phone to say great review and demonstration. At first I thought oh here we go over doing everything and it's going to be a slow winded explanation on everything........ BUT it was brilliant so informative great demonstration and now genuinely happy to pay the money for one. Keep up the great work
Thank you for explaining this! It was so much easier when the sales associate showed me then when I tried at home with baby very tricky. You have helped me ❤
Comfort is a very subjective thing - it will vary hugely from person to person. The internal structure of this sling makes it very tricky to breast/chest feed in. If the internal harness covers your chest it will be difficult to access. I hope that helps.
Thank you for such an informative step by step guide. I am not sure whether to get the BabyBjorn Harmony or the Ergo omni breeze. In your professional opinion which would you say is better? Many thanks
From a Sling Library point of view, I would always get someone to try the ErgoBaby Omni Breeze over the BabyBjorn Harmony. The Harmony is the absolute best of the current BabyBjorn carriers, but the ErgoBaby just fits a much wider variety of adult wearers.
Great video, thank you so much! I'm between the Babybjörn Harmony and Ergobaby Aerloom. In your opinion would you prefer one over the other? or tips with regarding to choosing between both? Thank you so much.
Both of those slings have their drawbacks. The BabyBjorn may not provide the most comfortable fit for everyone, while the ErgoBaby Aerloom may not last as long as you’d like. It is similar to the Ergo baby embrace but slightly larger and more complex to use. I’m currently trying to find time to make some Aerloom videos, so watch this space. If you want to choose between only those brands, I’d go for the ErgoBaby Omni Breeze or Dream. It will fit in the first few weeks, lasts to around 18m & fits a wide variety of adult wearers, so is easy to share. Hope that helps.
What you’re waiting for is rock solid head and neck control to protect his airways, and for him to be tall enough to have his chin clear of the body panel when he’s facing away from you. If you can tick both those boxes, then facing away for short periods of time (only when he’s awake) should be fine.
Maybe I’m using it wrong. My 2 month old gets lost inside and I have the upper part folded. She also likes to sleep facing to my chest rather to looking on the side. Also. Does the side straps need to be at the level of my breasts or a bit lower. Thanks 🙏🏼
@chrise124 Make sure you have your waistband up around your waist, not your hips. That changes the height of the body panel. It’s ok if your baby puts her face against your body, as long as you can see her nose & know that her airways are clear. It’s similar to holding a flat hand over your face - you can still breathe. Where the side straps sit in relation to your breast depends on your body shape, so that’s not something I can tell you. Get your waistband nice & high, that may help where the side straps sit. I hope that helps. 👍🏼
No, not at all. They are very different and will suit different people for different reasons. The BabyBjorn is limited by the fact that it has an “internal panel” (a layer between parent and baby). Some of the ErgoBaby’s, there are many different ErgoBaby models, will fit a much wider variety of adult bodies. It’s personal preference. However, the Harmony Carrier is the best carrier that BabyBjorn currently make.
