How to use the DigQuad with WLED and xLights for an easy DIY Holiday LED music & light show 

Hi, thank you for all the work on this! I was wondering if we could an update to this. xlights now lets us add the dig quad into the controller setting and other things. I have been chasing my tail on this for the last two weeks and can not get this to work at all. It looks like it sends the data and WLED shows I have something connected and is recieving the data from there but I get no output to my lights. and i have the bulb set to display the output(most common google search always says that). Thank you again!

The website is cancer, all I wanna do is buy it and I get constant pop ups. Keep them in stock and get rid of the ads on the web site. You’d probably make more bumping the price up and keeping them in stock on a nice website over the Adsense..

I Think it might be time to revisit this process using the latest versions of WLED, XLights, and the Dig Quad/Uno. I admit that my suggestion is purely selfish as I am currently struggling with getting all of this working. :-)

On the quinled page it says the Dig Uno can have 2 channels. If I complied this is it possible to have 2 channels running on the dig uno?

Thanks for posting this. I was lost and had to watch it a couple of times but was eventually able to get it working with this video. Plus I'm on a mac. But it all works fine with the newest digiquad. I had it hardwired with ethernet. Want to see if I can stream via Wi fi next.

Could never get my diguno to connect to xlights... then again my diguno won’t even stay connected to WiFi Even with the sleep unchecked.... it’s weird when it stops responding you have to connect they the factory WiFi then it will respond again on the WiFi. Sadly sending it back ca the cost paid is just not feasible. Sadly when going to dr zzz and quin well was fruitless at best. Interesting enough when you play with xleds patterns and color selections some work some don’t work. Some turn the light off on the switch yet let the 1st led lit. Sometimes the first led stays lit even after powering off. Ended up just throwing it away at the end of the day.

I may be missing the big flick. I've built some Christmas LED projects. I can connect from laptop or app with WLED. I'm starting to delve into xlights. How does xlights actually talk to the Dig Quad? Is it the same principle as WLED? Via wifi from laptop to Dig Quad? Raspberry Pi with FPP over wifi?

I think I'm more confused on how to setup wled with xlights than from the last video. I tried setting it up and all the options available are really confusing! I've had xLights crash twice and I have it randomly not working on configs that I trial and I think if I re-do the string light config, I have to re-create the Sequence in the Sequencer. I literally have three strings in a matrix connected to three wled ports, but when I try and configure it, every way that I try, it half works, so I get some light lightning up and some not. Then when I try and upload the config, it gives me an error and says to try wled 0.13.2 which isn't even out yet (this is on xLights 2022.09). I'm not even sure what the upload does since the lights seem to half work anyway, so I don't know if that's even required.

Good evening, I am new to this forum so apologies if I am not in the right place, but I would really appreciate some help. I just bought a Quinled Dig-Quad, received it yesterday. I connected it to a 5v power supply, without connecting any led strips to it. I am trying to connect it to WLED but doesn’t show up in my list of networks as an Access Point. Do I have to flash WLED onto it first? Thanks for your help!

I received my Dig-Quad from you but I can't find anywhere that shows how to wire it with your lights and power source...etc. Where is that? 🤔

Fairly new to this stuff! but i want to learn. Thinking about installing lights under the gutters of the first and second floor of the house and I was wondering if I could use the DigQuad for a first floor roof line of lights and then a second floor roof line of light. OR should I just use two DigUnos with two PSUs? and 12v or 5v I believe id have to power inject with either because of the width of the house. ... The house is 50ft or 15meters wide roughly.

i want to ask if i use digquad on ddp it will work the singing tree?

When will the Quad going to be available? Estimation as I understand the world sucky situation.

Hi, first of all, great work guys. In this year my house will have a sound animation show. 😉 Just I have one issue. How to save "segmentations" to keep it after reboot? Save in slot 16 don't work.
