Do you want your DJIOsmo Pocket footage look great with just a few clicks? Check out my new LUT pack for the Osmo Pocket: pascalbasel.com/shop/osmo-pocket-cine-luts/
I really like your tutorial. Well explain and i have the same material. In wich mode you film with your GH5 ? D-cinelike. How are you doing for having the same color when you shoot with différents format and caméra ?
Thanks, I always film in manual mode. But mostly V-log. Cinelike only sometimes. I color correct and match the footage manually in post until it looks around the same. Hue vs hue curves help a lot.
The Osmo Pocket is such a powerful little boy! Still impressed of its every single time. What do you think about adding a manual focus? Imo it would be a gamechanger!
Yeah great little tool 😊 Manual focus is not good at that small sensor. Just use it in AFS and press on the subject you want to have in focus. Pull focus wouldn’t do much on such a small sensor anyway.
I just came from my vacation. the Osmo pocket together with Sony FDR X3000 and my LG 20 smartphone made the perfect solution for a compact mobile solution. to record memories that would not be possible using bigger equipment. timelapses / hyperlapses can be made in such a casual way without raising concerns. the quick deploying is also a must. Life happens when you less expect. The boundaries between pro and hobby shooting with these technological pieces will be more on planned composition than equipment.
I bought GPH7 black 2 month ago and just bought DJI OP a week ago. I love my GPH7 but DJI OP was so tempting. I use DJI OP to do almost everything. I even use it when hosting tv programmes. By the way im a tv presenter/host. Its so small so practical and handy. Though i also love GPH7 for some action shots. Great view. Bali is a neverending paradise even to us Indonesian. Enjoy Bali. Great video 👍
Im using osmo pocket for vlog. Really useful tips! I always get confused how to use this properly. Kinda too advance for me🙈 anyway thanks for sharing!
omg after watching like 50 videos i finally found someone how properly shows how to use (and adjust) the angle in tilt locked mode - very good video and demonstration!
Your video and tips on the Dji osmo pocket to just amazing. I hope to see more. I also heard that the battery cannot be replaced. If it is true would they come out with a replaceable battery. What do you have to say about this.
Hi...do you think it can replace a DSLR for making yountube travel videos...after watching this video...i am confused on whither to upgrade my Canon 1200D or go with dji and use both as required...need your suggestion
Are you using a filter attached to the osmo? I was planning on purchasing it but I’ve been reading a lot of reviews about people saying it’s best to purchase a filter for it
Honestly i dont know what to use my Osmo Pocket for... i was hoping you could make a video with some tips and ideas on what to film when you dont have any idea!
Hello All. Great video for begginer filmmakers like me, thank you. Just i want to learn, is osmopocket allow shooting 1080p 120fps in normal speed? Or only slowmotion.?
I use my DJI Osmo Pocket for EVERYTHING. I do daily vlogs, country walks and travel vlogs too. Walks and travel are in 4K, daily vlog in HD. I usually use 25fps frame rate (UK) and 50pfs for SloMo. Also 4K in Cinelike, Vlogs in Normal (to save edit time). My biggest problem in hyper lapse is selecting the object and double clicking on the tiny screen. It ends up locking on something else and spoils my hyperlapse!
Yeah the OP is so versatile. That makes it a great tool. For hyperplasia with object tracking I mostly use it connected to my phone. Makes it a lot easier.
Thanks for your tips and tricks, very useful for beginners. One question: planning a trekking in Nepal I was wondering if the mechanics could suffer from dusty and windy scenes. Have you made any experience you could share with us? Thanks!
I am planning to buy the Osmo Pocket for creating timelapse videos. So, considering that I will mount it on a tripod my doubt is: could the gimball create "micro-shake" when already fixed and stabilized on a tripod? It is the same reason and situation as when you have to disable the sensor stabilizer or the optic stabilizer to avoid "micro-shake" when you mount the camera on a tripod. Thank you very much for your help! 👍
Exactly the way I thought. As an Indonesian living in Germany. I was like.. hmm he seems to be in Bali and then, oh! I think I'm familiar with that accent 😅
I use it for everything, That's why I love it. It seems to be pretty good at doing almost everything, so it'll be my workhorse until I am able to get a higher end camera c:
Hello! I have been using the osmo mobile for a couple years. Thinking of making the switch to the pocket. Is there a particular thing you like about this other than how small and quick it is to take shots?
@@kaitlynnborruso35 The fact that you can take pictures and videos without having to use Battery on your Phone. Also you will have your phone to use for Calls and Texts or Music without interrupting you Recording Sessions. Thats why I needed it to replace my Osmo Mobile. I kept getting calls and distractions from filming. And yes the small and portable factor is pretty cool but not my main reason for purchase. I think its always good to have a Camera seperate from your Phone. I love the Timelaspes as well. You can leave it somewhere and let it do its thing while you can use for phone for something else.
Thanks for the video Pascal. I just started my RU-vid channel a few months ago and I have done a few videos on the Osmo Pocket. It's a great little camera. I really enjoyed your video and your content is great.
This is really great information. I use the osmo pocket for my grilling videos... was wondering if you could give me tips on how to better film my food. I like it because of the follow mode and it allows me to track me... but I feel like I am underutilizing the osmo pocket. Thanks for any input you might have. Take care.. new sub.
When recording food it’s easy to get some slight shakes inside the footage. Probably slide it over a surface to avoid that and try different angles. Get some inspiration from food videos on Insta etc. You can also join my FB group to get suggestions. The group is Travel Video Creators
Hi, wow great shots! How did you achieve depth of field in the motorcycle/rice field shots? Do you find yourself using the Osmo Pocket with your phone or standalone?
I really like the video! Very good tipps to get cinematic shots! Just got the pocket today and will go on a travel tomorrow where I don't know the destination yet. will be nice to try it for this project :) thanks a lot
Something that is actually useful, thank you so much, youtube has become an echo chamber these last few years. Everyone is trying to feed the algorithm so much that there's hardly any new content.
Thanks, it is really a problem as everyone is watching the videos from the big guys and thinks in the same direction. When I researched for the keywords for this video I recognized that a lot of videos are more or less the same. So I tried to give some different tips.
@@pascalbasel Thank you! I am really considering getting pocket 2 for the zoom but I just took my pocket 1 out for a walk tour and looks like the results are pretty good!
Thank you for your content! What your favorite frame rate setting? Also do you also respect the rule of shutter speed = *2 frame rate while doing your hyperlapse?
I usually film at 60fps and publish at 24. I don’t use the 180deg rule often. Here’s a video where I go into Detail about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L5rf3blMNEA.html
Yes, I definitely need to know the usage of timelapse, slowmotion, b-roll, color adjustment and also how to use height shots or drone like videos using osmopocket. I am just a beginner who wishes to buy an osmopocket and use it. Thanks in advance
Thanks for good tips! I already so the video about hyperlapes, too. I just confused tht what frame did u use in hyperlapes? u take videos in 60 fps first and then u editing in 24 fps?! Or just take in 24fps?! When we want to take slow motion, we have to take 60 fps or 120 fps and then editing in 24fps?!
For hyperlapse the framerate doesn’t matter as long as you want to switch between hyperlapse and slow motion. However, 24p has slightly better image quality. So if you only want hyperlapse, 24p is the better option.
Hi Pascal. I used the DJI pocket for mostly traveling and to capture my family along with some of sight seeing. Please let me know what is the best setting for it. thank you
