@@chattergoon79 Idk how apple is behind samsung they outsold samsung, but if you are thinking by technology maybe but not by far but for average consumers they don't rly care about 120hz bezel less displays. I personally like tech and smartphones but I don't really care about having a phone with features that don't really matter on day to day bases.
Life long android user and Google. Only got iphone 14 Plus a few weeks ago as I needed the Apple Watch 8 for health/falls/etc... I was able to still basically follow your instructions despite iPhone 14+ and IOS16. Nice video, thank you.
Siri is trash and has been around before google assistant, this show you how lazy apple really is. The dynamic island??the same gimmick LG used in it's V10 , 7 yrs ago and recently the pill shaped notification that expanded and retracted before disappearing, just like on one UI last year. Iphone is undoubtedly a good phone but botched software, impossibility to allow 3rd party repair, your device bricked and being unable to use because you forgot the cloud id and you have to install a Google assistant which by the way, is a native app on my Moto G51 which costs less. iOS is not an innovation, Android which was horrible to use a decade ago has come a long way, has been the true innovative software of this last decade, android adopted USB C, 6 yrs ago while iphone is still on lightning, LG was the first to integrate an ultra wide angle camera on it's phone, NFC was already on Android, android smartphones have wireless charging, the notification shade too.
Google maps is also far better than that Apple maps that y'all was using lmao. And Google chrome is way better than what's the Apple browser was it Firefox.
@@pp3k3jamail Apple native apps sucks. And guess what apps I was using on my old xs max?? Google assistant, google chrome, RU-vid, google drive, Gmail, google contacts, google Duo, google maps, google files... I ended up going back to android and believe me, I ain't using apple products anymore
@@danteerskine7678 you are so right and I own 2 iPhone 14 pro and pro max but it’s different I like that I used android all my life and I prefer android it’s simpler but iOS is very clean and hosing the phone is pleasant I love them both iOS is behind but they are at least different than android every Samsung and one plus I installed nova luncher
Don't see the back tap on my 6s. Guess it must be for newer phones. And another way to use Google on an iPhone is for home control. I can ask Siri to ask Google to run anything in my smart home and it doesn't need to be a homekit device. Phone has to be unlocked but it works. Great video.
It will open google assistant and show the answer but not speak it, basically its the exact literal thing as siri and there is no difference at all whatsoever. In order to actually get an answer your just going to need to open google assistant app yourself even during you doing the dishes.
I'm thinking about getting the new iPhone 16 Pro and will considerably miss having Google Assistant (I would be switching from Pixel 8 Pro). Glad to see that this can be done. This would be my 2nd iPhone in 14 years of smartphone usage. My 1st iPhone was the 11 Pro in 2020 and while I liked it, I wasn't over the moon about its capabilities. Now that iOS has a dedicated file explorer and transfer abilities thanks to USB-C, I'm considering giving it another shot. Also impatiently waiting to see what Apple Intelligence & and the expanded Siri are capable of doing.
This video didn’t answer my basic question and talked about all kinds of frills and activities that I don’t need. Can I use Google assistant as a dictation tool instead of Siri
I don't believe so, not at least in the same way you can with Android. Closest you can probably get is by installing Gboard and using the voice dictation feature from Google, but it's not the full Google Assistant that you trigger from Gboard. support.google.com/gboard/answer/2781851?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS - Josh
This is very helpful, I’ve a MacBook and am iPad and been thinking about switching to an iPhone but Google Assistant issues were stopping me. This could be a path forward.
@1:24, my iPhone 14 pro with iOS 16.2 can open the google assistant just by asking Siri: "Hey Siri, open the google assistant". I am a life Android user, 35 years old. This is my first ever iPhone, and I liked it a lot. But I have to admit that Siri sucks compared to Google Assistant. Apple needs a lot of work to do on the voice assistant.
Could Siri on Homepod mini run shortcut to summon Google assistant? I'm going to use google Home devices but control with Homepod Mini in my room. I'm an iPhone user. Thank you.
Josh, is there a way to get An audible answer to what Google is asked through Siri? In other words if I say hey Siri, get google…. What’s the temperature outside, I want Google to announce the answer like when I use the assistant app directly. When I get Siri to ask google this, google assistant just brings it up in the screen but doesn’t announce it.
Awesome, love the double tap feature. I was looking for a nice widget, but this is actually better! _Chrome widget takes up too much space on a phone..._ Great content, somehow I forgot to SUB?!? Fixed that, and thanks!
Amazon Alexa is the best for home automation, it has the most skills. Also, Google can't add a device to more than 1 room or group; example: kitchen and family room are adjacent to each other and I want the lights in both room to turn off if I say all, as well as independently turning off either room. Alexa is inexpensive so I bought 8 to equip every room with Amazon Alexa for voice control so that I can just ask 'turn off the lights' and the echo in that room knows to turn off those lights and not other lights in the house. Google app's fonts are really really really tiny for my old eyes. All 8 of my Amazon Echo devices have a clock... very convenient to tell the time or see a timer's countdown. or better sound, I have a few of my Amazon Echo dot 3 with clock output the sound via its 3.5mm headphone jack to my Denon HEOS speakers.
you have groups... and alexa is terrible for bilingual house holds.. and it only works in the language where your amazon account is.. Bad of shiuhkwhjiuwu4
Maybe someone can answer my question - How to make google assistant process commands from the first device which caught my voice? For example, I have google assistance on two devices - google home and google assistance on my Pixel4xl. And the problem is that if they both are in the same room and I need to ask something for assistance (I say Ok, Google) and two of my devices trying to answer me. Is it possible to set up that only the first device will answer me and not both of them in parallel?
