Loved seeing your video Casper! ❤😊 I used a Hobonichi Techo Planner this year, but for 2023 I am switching to a planner with a weekly layout while using an A6 daily pages one for daily art / creative musings / journalling / memory keeping rather than planning. I used the monthly 'remember this' page in my Techo for my animal of the month, and the index page at the front for tarot/oracle card of the day (which I'm shifting away from as I find it's too speedy for me - I want more like card a week). The back dot grid pages I used for correspondences charts as well as notes on the books I've read. I will make a video about my planners but a big change for me is I need separate work and personal planners now, which made the page-a-day planner too much space for me for planning.

Omg! Thanks for covering how you used it but I'll also be interested in seeing the usage on the pages (not sure if there's anything private or if you already have a video -- I must search!). I used the Hobonichi Day Free in 2021 (and sort of failed), and then used a Weekly one this year (Jibun Techo), but that failed as well. I love analog planning but maybe it's just not for me LOL. I also agree that sometimes a card a day is too granular to be of much use. A 3 of Swords could mean that it's raining that day or that you'll suffer heartbreak lol. Using the back pages as references may be something I may do -- THANKS for sharing that. Maybe I could put in some nifty useful correspondences or fengshui stuff. Will wait for your video as well as your reasoning as to why you felt like you had to separate work and personal planners.

@@BoyDiviner i just got my first Jibun Techo (Biz) which will be my work planner. My job has very high confidentiality requirements so my work planner will rarely leave the office. I like the Jibun vertical layout as it mirrors the Google Calendar we use to share our schedules with each other. I hope it will be a good one for me!

@@aquamarine18 I was using that (without a cover)!!!! But my work events were always changing so after a while, I felt like I only could rely on my Google Calendar as my source of truth. The Jibun Techo just became a place I scribbled things without using the layout -- which isn't a bad thing but not exactly a good one either. I hope it works better for you and the type of work you do.

I recently got my first Hobonichi A6 - looking forward to using it in 2023. I don’t have any advice for you - I watched your video to get some ideas! It looks like the best size for me. I also got the 5 year - ‘had’ to get the A5 as the A6 had run out. It’s going to be a challenge to fill both in, though I’m hoping thinking about how much money I spent will help me! I think I will use the A6, split the day pages in half and have one side a todo, the other as a journal with various thoughts. We shall see! I also wanted to start ‘paying attention’ and nothing down things I noticed, as Josephine McCarthy often speaks about!

I hope my video gave you some ideas!! I love the size functionally but I often feel like I'm either lacking space when I start, or the blank page is just too intimidating per day. I got the A6 5 year and I'm loving it because it's really stress free journalling hahahaha. I like your idea of splitting it into two -- I'm planning to do that too, but left for events and right for tasks/thoughts. I love that. I bought Josephine McCarthy's huge book but I haven't gotten to it at all.

Hi, I ordered my first hobonichi original after ordering my first hobonichi weeks and feeling like the page space is to limiting for me. I’ve been searching RU-vid to get inspiration and do far your the only video I’ve seen with a recent upload regarding the original. I like your plans for your 2023. My plan will be to use the daily pages for daily trackers, to dos and a brain dump. The look ahead pages will be used for monthly and annual pre planning. The 100 list will be used for a 100 days in nature tracker. 😊

Thanks so much for sharing your ideas!! I love that you’re using the daily pages for daily trackers - are you going to use the checkboxes at the top for that purpose? I agree about the A6 being a bit limiting. I haven’t used the weeks or the Cousin before - wanted to try out the Weeks this year originally but the One Piece original hobonichi was too tempting hahaha.

@@BoyDiviner I will try out the check boxes and incorporate some sticker check boxes as well.

Hi, Casper! Fancy meeting you here! So, I saw video from Katie Flowers on her Hobonichi stuff. I'd never heard anything about this company and it's products before. I was intrigued. I ordered a Hobonichi Weeks Mega and I'm planning how I'm going to be using it. I really need some help. Then, I saw that Aquamarine 18 responded to your vid, so now I feel like I'm in very good company. I suffer from severe depression and I'm hoping that I can use the Weeks to help get some structure in my life. Anyway, I'm babbling. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Frances!!! I’m actually a stationery fiend and have gone through so many different (expensive) stationery options but haven’t actually tried using a Weeks yet. It was supposed to be this year but the cutest log book came out and I had to use it, so it’s the A6 Hobo for me hahahaha. I hope you can find the structure you need :( sorry to hear about your depression my friend I really hope the Weeks can help. Thanks for watching!!! ❤️ sending you my best
