Can you please guide for the sequence in AM and PM routine. Which products should be use when? 1. Cleanser 2. Hyaluronic Acid 3. Vitamin C 4. Collagen Serum 5. Beta Hydroxy Acid 6. Toner 7. Mosturizer 8. Sunscreen
I have a guide which you can find right here: How to Build a Skincare Routine and What Products Do I Need?: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8gLrr2wbi_8.html And if you like to you can post the routine underneath, and I can check it later on.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I will surely check it now.. and will share the products and brands I have bought recently .. thank you so so much for replying 💗
I'm alternating between the inkey list retinol and the inkey list beta hydroxy. At first everything was going good, but a month later, my skin is getting dry and uncomfortable. I added inkey list rosehip oil, but i don't feel satisfied. I read that rosehip oil is similar but not as strong as retinol. Is that true? I don't want to over exfoliate my skin but i thought it would add good moisture. How often should i use these products since alternating is not working? And during the day i just use beta glucan moisturizer from the ordinary with a drop of rosehip oil from inkey list because my skin is so dry....
Yes, that's usually why I say, "You may not notice irritation or sensitivities right away, but they might develop over time." It's believed that the rosehip seed oil contains a small amount of the retinoid tretinoin (retinoic acid), which can also vary depending on the rosehip seed oil used. However, this amount is so minimal that it's unlikely to make a significant difference unless applied in large quantities, which you wouldn't do anyway. So, this shouldn't be a concern. I think that the best course of action is to reduce the frequency of using the BHA and observe the results. If discomfort persists, consider reducing the frequency of both products, or even giving your skin a break for a few days or maybe a week. This approach should help solve the problem without needing an additional moisturizing product. It's likely that your skin is simply overwhelmed. I regularly take breaks where I use nothing except my cleanser for about a week. This helps to balance my skin and gives it enough time to recover. 🙂
Ahh I absolutely love your videos! Always super informative and straight to the point! I had one quick question, if there happen to be ahas in my cleanser (last ingredient on the list) can i still use the inkey list bha serum? and to add on, if there are ahas in my cleanser AND toner (again ahas are more located toward the end of the list) is using the bha serum still ok?
Yes, if they are the last ingredients or, let's say, at the very bottom of the ingredients list, they are usually used to balance the pH of the formulations, and therefore they are not an issue. Avoid products labeled as AHA or BHA or with Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, or Salicylic Acid as the first ingredients on the list.
Well, they are basically the same (BHA = Beta Hydroxy Acid). So, I just would use one of them, once one of them is empty, use the other one. Frequency: How often you use your BHA will depend on how well your skin tolerates it. Begin with 2-3 times per week. Then, as the skin builds tolerance, increase to every other day or daily as needed (and tolerated).
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Sorry for replying late, I don't have acne or anything I just want to get into skincare. I recently got Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and like how it feels on my skin so I won't be getting this Inkey List product anymore. I have oily skin with some dry patches sometimes. I use Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion (the old versions) but I'm looking for a better moisturizer other than Cetaphil. I've heard Cetaphil isn't good for facial use but I'm not sure
No, use only one acid per routine. How to Build a Skincare Routine and What Products Do I Need?: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8gLrr2wbi_8.html
Hi Melissa, can you help me make my routine by ordinary, the skin care I like to used for my A.M is Resveratrol & Ferulic acid, alpha arbutin 2% +HA, Vitamin C by hylamide and possible Agrireline and pm routine is alpha arbutin 2% HA, agrireline, niacinamide and retinoids/retin a and can you tell me in what order this products I can used them and keep making skin care videos very helpful, god bless always and a big thank you for answering all my questions
Probably their 2% Salicylic Acid masque or their new 2% Anhydrous solution, but generally, I think it works best to extract them and maintain it with Salicylic Acid 😉

I didn’t know that The Inkey List had a BHA serum! Is it similar to the 2%!salicylic acid serum that The Ordinary used to have - like the Revolution Skincare 2% salicylic acid serum? I like that one a lot! That’s my go to 😺
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 😺😺😺 It is?!?! I’m going to have myself a real good gander at The Inkey List website and maybe place an order for this. I’ve also been really interested to try their Snow Mushroom. I’m the biggest fan of snow mushroom on gods green earth. Snow mushroom, mushrooms in general and rice, saké and galactomyces. Wowwahweehwow 😻
@@sairasaeed2473 You may have a chance to smoothen them with an AHA exfoliant and/or Retinol or Retinoid - but don't use them in the same routine. Otherwise it's best to talk to a dermatologist.
Whooo I found a single RU-vidr who actually reply Plzz tell that I layering my skin truly or not My age is 30 normal to dry skin and main concern is open pores and brightnes Am CeraVe cream to foam cleanser Inky list hyloronic acid serum CeraVe vitamin c CeraVe moisturizing cream Pm (2) CeraVe cream to foam cleanser Pixi Glow Tonic CeraVe moisturizing cream Pm(2) Inky list BHA serum CeraVe moisturizing cream Rest of the week is L'Oreal hyloron expert night Mask CeraVe cream to foam cleanser
I hate to say it, but yes, nobody gives a shit here on RU-vid; they all just care about the money. And since there is no money made to help people voluntarily, they will not do it. Anyway... the order is correct still my suggestion is to do is as follows: Am: CeraVe cream to foam cleanser Inky list hyaluronic acid serum CeraVe vitamin c SPF! Examples that work well on all skin types: COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream or Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Water Sun Gel Sunscreen guide: docdro.id/1IiwWWN Pm (2) CeraVe cream to foam cleanser Pixi Glow Tonic (start with every other day and increase frequency to daily overtime if needed or tolerated!) CeraVe moisturizing cream Pm(2) CeraVe cream to foam cleanser CeraVe moisturizing cream The rest of the week is L'Oreal hyaloron expert night Mask. And I advise you not to use The Inkey List BHA as it is Salicylic Acid; it is not ideal for dry skin. Best to stick to your Pixi Glow Tonic, which contains Glycolic Acid.
Hey! I've seen that The Ordinary has released the new version for their 2% salicylic acid serum and I wanted to ask you your opinion about it. Which of them do you think is best between TO and The Inkey List? Thx ❤️
Hello, dear Melissa. I was wondering if you could check my AM/PM routines with some products from the ordinary. My primary concerns are acne scars and dark spots left after them. AM: 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Vichy 89 mineral serum 3. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 4. Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% 5. Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion PM: 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Lactic acid 5% + HA 3. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 4. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 5. Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion I would really like to see what you think about my routines since I am a big fan of your videos and think you have amazing advice. Thank you in advance!
+ I also use salicylic masque 1/2 a week and am not sure if I should start using AHA/BHA peeling solution or not since I already have some acids in my routine that I use regularly? Thank you!!
Hello Taisia, I would do it like this: AM: 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Vichy 89 mineral serum 3. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 4. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 5. Sunscreen (if exposed to the sun) PM 1 (2-3 times a week) : 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Lactic acid 5% + HA 3. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 4. Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion PM 2 (rest of the week) : 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% That is mainly because of the formulation and because you are working with pure Vitamin C without Vitamin E or any other antioxidants/stabilising ingredients. According to my comments, it often leads to dark patches because the Vitamin C may oxidize if exposed to direct sunlight. It will likely not matter much if you aren't really outside or exposed to direct sunlight. But the formulation can also quickly feel oily on the skin when used in combination with other products, so I would advise using it on its own and alternate. Personally do not see the need to add an additional exfoliant or exfoliating acid masque. Generally, using the exfoliant 2-3 times a week should already be enough. I mean, you still could use the Peeling Solution when you feel the need. But probably not regularly, but again depends on your personal skin needs/tolerance.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial hello Melissa! I love your idea about separating PM routine into 2 parts. The thing is I work from home and that is why I use it in the morning (I don’t leave the house until the evening so I’m not exposed to the sun at all). I also got the Cerave 25 SPF moisturizing cream today which I plan to incorporate and I got the retinoid emulsion 2% from the ordinary today. Do you think I can keep my PM routine and alternate it with retinoid by slowly incorporating it 3 times a week. Also, what do you think about using retinoid emulsion with Vichy 89? (Should I use retinoid or the Vichy hialuronic serum first?). I’ve also thought about combining the emulsion with alpha arbutin but maybe it is not the best idea since I’m just starting out. What do you think? Thanks so much for commenting on my routine and I’m glad you agree that the AHA BHA solution is not necessary for me right now. Thank you so much in advance, looking forward to your reply about retinol. Totally forgot I was going to buy it today and now I am not sure what is best to pair it with. Lots of love from Serbia 😻
@@taisiapopova8133 I wouldn't add too much to your routine since Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin can already help you to improve surface hyperpigmentation. However, Exfoliating Acids and Retinol/Retinoid can also help to reduce surface hyperpigmentation because they 'exfoliate' the skin. AM: 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Vichy 89 mineral serum 3. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 4. Vitamin C Suspension 5. Sunscreen (if exposed to the sun) PM 1 (2-3 times a week) : 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. Lactic acid 5% + HA 3. (Optional) Vichy 89 mineral serum 4. Niacinamide 5. Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion PM 2 (rest of the week) : 1. CeraVe hydrating cleanser 2. (Optional) Vichy 89 mineral serum 3. Granactive Retinoid 4. Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Hi Melissa, can you help me to check my routine Morning the Inkey list salicylic acid cleanser The inkey list beta hydroxy acid The inkey list succinc acid treatment Kiehl’s ultra facial cream Sunscreen Pm the Inkey list salicylic acid cleanser Paula’s choice BHA liquid exfoliant/ the ordinary glycolic acid solution The inkey list succinc acid treatment Kiehl’s ultra facial cream Thank you in advance !
Hey :) You are using quite a lot of exfoliating acids. This increases the risk of sensitivity. It may not happen right away, but the more often you are doing it, the more likely it will happen. I recommend either using The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Acid or The Inkey List Beta Hydroxy, Paula's Choice 2% BHA or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. So, you can do it like this: AM: - The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser - The Inkey List Succinic Acid - Kiehl's Moisturizer - SPF PM: - Gentle Cleanser - The Inkey List Beta Hydroxy or Paula's Choice 2% BHA or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. (2-3 times per week and adjust the frequency over time.) - The Inkey List Succinic Acid - Kiehl's Moisturizer
Hi Melissa, I also have another question, I have a lot of tiny bumps on my face, do I need anything else to deal with that? Or this skincare routine is already enough ? Thank you!
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial One question: Can I apply the Inkey beta Hydroxy Acid Serum and leave it all night, for real? (it does not damage the skin? Since it is a chemical peeling)
@@catarinasofia2850 Always check the product's directions. However, generally speaking, only the stronger peels with concentrations of 15% or higher are intended to be rinsed off after a certain period of time.
