How to Use the Killawatt EZ Meter 

You can easily calculate usage per month by: Find the wattage of the appliance. (If wattage is not listed, look for the amp and volt ratings on the plate. Multiply amps x volts to get the wattage.) Next, multiply the wattage by the hours you use the appliance each month, and then divide by 1000. This will give you the kWhs used each month.

Thanks for the advice but because the usage varies (it's a TV and a set of lights) as to when they're powered on and off it would be useful to get an idea of power consumption over time (say a week). I looked into it and you can do it by hitting "menu" on the meter and it will show you KWH over elapsed time. Thanks again.
