You learn about leveling block. This be no small talk. Watch this video like a hawk. To have a knowledge stock. 10/10 poem. Want to become a jerk today? Join my Discord! 🚀 / discord
Veterans of this game (and universal class jerks) remember the days before Levelling Blocks and the Alignment Mods existed, when creating flat sided structures on level ground was an artform - but still definitely achievable with the Terrain tool using nothing other than the standard Flattening Mode using the CTRL key. It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination as first of all you had to find the right polygon to work off, which was achieved by either digging down a bit or building up It was made slightly easier by the fact that the landing sight was always on the equator back then. But the same can be achieved now by going to a point anywhere on the equator to start your base. Personally, having come back to the game after a long, long break, I prefer to use the Alignment Tool to get a good clean surface that follows the curvature of the 'Planit;' It looks better, it can be built anywhere and there are no restrictions on how far it will reach.
@@worldclassjerk-epicgamer I have to admit to getting sucked into it, building bases with buildings with designated rooms. But that was because there wasn't much else to do 😎
@@tassie7325 I was sucked into grinding out resources with the good ol' mineral extractor (not to be confused with the now soil centrifuge. The extractor was far more op).
good video, but I admit this tells me that I will just use alignment tool. Which seems good enough for my purposes. I find that if I "restart" leveling, when it's too far from me, it works better, probably because it's following the curvature of the planet, which I presumed is why you said it doesn't work. I am also still confused why the leveling block would not be perpendicular to a line drawn from where I put it, to the core. So it would only not be level, if the terrain I am starting with is not perpendicular to a radius line.
The leveling block isn't flat with the ground at all locations because the soil is constructed by polygons that are aligned with the poles. In other words, with the way soil currently works, it can't be perfectly flat just anywhere.
I didn't even need to make it go up in the air or get a seat that has the mountain to make it a go up in the air I just had to go put the train to right next to it
Leave it to WCJ to educate the hapless masses! "Slopen't?" "Flatesquity??" "ETIQUETTE??" And I'll admit it... a bit ashamed I've been spelling "planit" wrong all this time. (... 😉)
a useless video for a useless device, "I know how to get saves with floating structure.. but even though it's part of this process I'm not gonna tell you here because I want more clicks and views for You Tube revenue."
