This is an overview of how to connect to a Longshot camera system and the different features of the new Longshot app, including:
- How to connect to the cameras WiFi network
- How to establish a connection with the camera in the app
- How to access the Gallery and Academy sections of the app
- An overview of the different buttons on the live camera feed screen and what actions a short or long-press on those buttons will trigger
- How to use the new Shooter View feature
- How to use the new Measurements feature to measure your group size and get an adjustment to zero

The Guys are Long-Shot Cameras in Pearland TX are top notch. The are so smart annd so nice and very helpful.Each time Ive had a question or problem Jason or Clay take care of it.I appreciate them.

Thank You Longshot will have to watch again but find this a great enhancement to a great product. Keep up the good work. The best no mirage solution to long range shooting around.

Thanks very much for the video - REALLY love the new features! One feature that has been working very well for me in a similair setup is a time delay funktion. Being able to have a 3-6 second time delay on the video is such a great help when trying to spot where my shots went. This works especially well for pistol shooting and is a different approach than the "blink mode"

Suggestion: If possible, have a menu to add ballistics information that can be displayed with the shot group information to be able and to maintain a shooting record for all different loads or calibers.

Complicated to engineer, but that would be awesome! I only shoot steel, but if even without the Ballistic Calculator technology, I could mark a dust splash at 1,780 yards, and QUICKLY and easily add my dope notes, (eg 72MOA-U/8MOA-L) then the same for follow-up shots, that would be cool!

Any plans on supporting iPadOS 17 (freezes on anything greater than 16). Also, is there a way to change the password on the SSID? Otherwise, great product/crystal clear...

What an idiot! (Not you - ME!) lol I hate technical manuals, reading instructions etc, so for the few years I have had your LR3, I have not been using all of the available features. We set our state distance record in 2020 and the world record in 2022, and your camera system was helpful but could have been way better if I had watched this 10-minute video. I think it is time for me to invest in a tablet as well, I have been unhappy with the phone interface, some of which has been my ignorance as mentioned above. I know that reading an instruction manual makes a guy lose his man badge, but I hope a video doesn't do the same. lol Thanks for this video! -Shepard Humphries

Why is is not possible to mark the shot‘s automatically? Ich will be great Option to change from manuel to automatically. Thank you for your answer.

Hello, we have investigated this and spent quite a bit of resources trying to achieve it. At this point there are too many restrictions to control the variables that the end product would not be worth the effort.

Hi , followed the instructions connected fine but when out over 130 yards connection drops out , have this happened to anyone else, thanks .

Hello Gareth, that shouldn't be happening. Please reach out to us at 281-205-8134 or email info@longshotcameras.com. Possible it could be a low battery, but more than likely a phone setting. Many times the phones will connect to a different WIFI signal. Another thing to be sure of is that because they are line of sight, make sure the back of the camera is not facing down but rather facing towards you. Alignment is key. If you have the LR-3 make sure you are connected to the receivers WIFI not the cameras.

Mine just shows a black screen with a refresh icon in the middle for camera feed. If I hit the flash button it shows image. Sucks it don’t work and it’s expensive.

I believe your permissions are not enabled. There are a couple of other settings to check as well. Please see our troubleshooting videos.

I am unable to find an App for my Apple laptop, is this unavailable for Apple laptops?

Our app is designed for phones and tablets, however some have had luck on laptops and chromebooks. Use this link to help guide you on which app will work for you. www.longshotcameras.com/pages/getting-started . If you can't find the "LongshotHD" app on your Apple laptop look for "Targetvision". Might work for you.

@@jasonwade5351 nope, no luck. it only allows for iPad and iPhone and when I check the app store using my Apple laptop it doesn't find anything.
