I'm expecting a used GLA 200 in a week and have never driven a Mercedes or a more modern car with this equipment. Your video helps me a lot to prepare. And the joy of the new car is even greater. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I got mine yesterday and the manuals are unreadable but your video was clear, in plain English and incredibly informative. I'm off for another go in it
@DrSaahb You made my day, I just did a run along the motorway with all your advice fresh in my head and it was a dream. I got a 2015 dark grey AMG line, I'm not seeing any differences to yours though. 😊
Thanks for the comment. You can add soundproofing I think but I wouldn’t recommend it. I would recommend you just lower the volume when you are in residential places.
Thanks for the comment. This has made my day. Please check out the playlist for this model and subscribe so you do not miss other useful videos for this great car.
Awesome, dude. I have the exact same model. Going for 37k miles on mine and its been flawless. Came to the comment section to hear about more recommendations.
Thanks for the comment. Do you know if you have electric folding door mirrors? If you watch this video from 4:37 and compare if you have the same switches ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsxItynbtXc.htmlsi=CksFjHdWtPJb1lsw
I love video, this applies for A class 2013-2018 too right? because it's same interior essentially a same car. I personally do have it and I learned so much about car in this video, some features that I didn't even know that exists , thanks much love
Thanks for the comment. This has made my day. Yes it is similar interior. Please watch my A-Class videos if you want to learn more about it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsxItynbtXc.htmlsi=eOE1WX2oKyUCA4pR and I have also made a specification video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bphGORlbyP0.htmlsi=gNLRTbXoCtsQaB5y Let me know if they are helpful too please?
I've had the GLA 200 Urban (2014 with automatic) for 10 days now and am starting to get used to it. It's supposed to be an SUV, but of course it's different from my spacious Honda CR-V, but it's big enough for me as a single person. I just need to practice getting in and out without getting hurt 😂. But it drives really well, so relaxing and has great roadholding and is relatively quiet up to 120 km/h. I hope it lasts a long time. Thanks again for your video and kind regards, Udo
Thanks for the comment. This has made my day. You have a nice specification. I think you will really enjoy your experience with the GLA. Let me know how you get on with it in the future too.
Thanks for the comment. This video will show you how to fold the mirrors. The A-Class and GLA have basically the same switches and setup ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsxItynbtXc.htmlsi=ig9g9NQl3wuWBJQZ watch from 4:37. Let me know if this helps?
I’ve bought the gla amg 200 premium 68 plate , love the car this video has helped learn so much , when I bought the dealer tried to sell an extended warranty which I haven’t done is yet , is it worth taking out extended warrenty anybody had any issues with car same age
Thanks for the comment. My mum and dad, my mother-in-law and father-in-law and my wife own this generation of GLA and they are all happy with it. Aslong as the car is serviced by a Mercedes dealership you cannot go wrong. The models in your comment are good cars apart from the Land Rover which I would avoid. Desirable cars but not known for reliability. In terms of size what car do you prefer? Have you seen these cars in person yet?
Thanks for the comment. The panoramic sunroof is fantastic. My top tip with the sunroof is to close the blind when you leave the car on a sunny/hot day. Then when you get back to the car it shouldn’t be as hot in the car.
I probably was not clear at the end of this video. I have explained it in another video. Please watch this video from 35:26 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsxItynbtXc.htmlsi=bmI-AT_WWoPg66ZR
Thanks for the comment. I do not show how to do that in the video. When the satnav talks then you can adjust the volume. Let me know how you get on please?
Thank you for the feedback! Which country is your car from? For UK cars I think SE models did not get Dynamic Select. You had to go for the Sport or AMG Line to get the Dynamic Select button.
Thanks for the comment. The car in this video is not optioned with the 12 ambient light colours. Please watch this video from 26:01 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsxItynbtXc.htmlsi=_cd7q3rt_FtoLnOq which will show you how to change the ambient lights. Let me know how you get on.
I bought this car and a half years ago and now turning some of the features in there that I should have learned two-and-a-half years ago.😂 Thank you for the video. Doctor.
Thanks for the comment. This has made my day. Check out my playlist for more videos related to this car. Please subscribe to see more videos in the near future.
Who has the most miles on their GLA?? Im at 37k on my 2019 GLA250, Ive had no issues what so ever, any one with sugestions? Battery life? Im almost on 5 years and had no issues with it except the start stop function disappearing but I hear that normal on older batteries.
I'm at 7.1L/100kms or 33mpg (If I done my maths properly) original 5 year old battery, running on 5W30 Mobil 1 oil, no parts have been added. What can I expect soon other than a battery change and wiper blade change? Both cabin and air filters have been recently replaced. I plan on keeping it a long time to be honest, I love the GLA! I can tow my motorcycle or 2 around with excellent gas milage. I am on my second tire set, (ran over some nails and replaced them all) I run them at 35psi.
My wife has a 2017 GLA 220d 4Matic Sport Premium and she loves her car. The car has done around 50,000 miles now and has not skipped a beat. We service the car with our local Mercedes dealer. Once a year i do a winter health check (which if you ask your local dealer, they will do for free) and in the summer the car has its service. We have had no issues with the stop start yet but we do drive the car the most and is used daily. Once a week or at the very least once a month we take it on a long journey which helps with the battery and also the diesel particulate filter gets to regenerate.
Hi Adrian. If you are not worried about using the start stop function then I would leave replacing your battery for your car. When it finds it difficult to start or you get a message appear on the instrument cluster, then I would change the battery.
@@DrSaahb Thank you for the tips! I usually drive it 3-4 times a week, not on long journys, tho...Last time I took it on a long trip the start stop function started working again... for sure I'll be looking into a new battery very soon, tho. Awesome spec, I imagine how great the range of that diesel engine is! My local dealer suggests I change the oil every 6 months but to be honest I do it once a year (Less than 6k miles) I've looked and the oil still has some color which is nice to see.
The diesel engine on a long run is good. But when we drive it locally then it is no different to the 1.6 petrol really. But I bet your 250 loves a drink but its more fun than ours 👌
Thanks for the comment. You cannot test drive this car because it is my parents car. Please contact your local Mercedes Dealer to arrange a test drive 😃
This GLA only had one colour for the ambient lighting. If you want 12 different colours for the ambient lighting then you need to buy a car with the Premium or Premium Plus package. Please see a summary sheet in the description which shows some of the main options you can get for the GLA.
