Do you clean the Epson DTF DTG printheads by flushing? STOP and watch this video first! Although the flushing method is highly effective, it also introduced a lot of stress on the printhead. You may break the printhead in the process of fixing it. Most of the time, your printhead isn't badly clogged and doesn't require such an intrusive method. Therefore, I want to show you how to unclog the printhead more naturally using the printer's built-in function, a pair of scissors, and some $10 attachments.

Hi Kevin! I am a big fan of your videos. I am just now trying to get my ET-8550 set up for DTF. Can I use this on it, or is it only for the printer that you have there in your video? Also, does the cleaning fluid go into the waste tank?

I have a REALLY BAD clog. (Epson R2000 DX5 printhead) When I do a nozzle check, no white ink shows at all. I've tried printing purge sheets in all white and it is just starting to look like your first print that you showed in this video. I think I am going to have to try this... I get so nervous doing this "techy" stuff !! You are a wealth of knowledge Kevin, It's greatly appreciated!!!.. I purchased an external waste tank for my sublimation printer from you a year or 2 ago.... I've yet to install it, because again, taking printers apart makes me nervous. But I eventually get the courage to try lol...

i true all the cleaning, waterfall, ect. so, I finally separated the printhead from the 6 port abs manifold. (l1800 9 pin). That's where the white (both channel ports) are extremely hard to flush. I can pull air but not push solution even after soaking several times. Ordered your blue solution. any tip on stubborn manifolds or videos. printhead seams good but not the 6-port manifold.

Either the built-in function in the printer's driver package, or the adjustment program.

piezoflush is made for vacation mode, meaning, you can leave it in the printer for as long as you want. I have my own cheaper recipe that does the same thing. (77% distilled water, 20% ipa alcohol, 2% glycerin and 1% amonia) You can also just take distilled water with 5% glycerine for vacation mode. This does not have any cleaning ability so you can use it after using the cleaning solution.

Thanks for the tip. If the clog gets really bad, use the blue DTF cleaning solution (or red) on the pigment or dye printhead. It's very strong so it should be used as the last option. DO NOT leave it in the printhead though. Flush it out within a few hours.
