In this video we go over what i think is the coolest feature on our 2005 Touareg V8. The onboard air system. Not only does it have air suspension but it also comes with a hose and connection to air up your tires. Pretty cool.

The Coolest thing on Treg is REST button. thats with engine off and key removed it will circulate engine coolant to keep the cabin interior warm for 30 min. Or if your stuck on the side of road instead of leaving both side markers on and drain the battery, you can use the turn indicator knob to select only left front & rear or only right front & rear markers to be left on.... depending on which side of the road you are. OR the coolest feature could be the collapsible spare tire that once inflated it becomes a regular size spare tire.

Also if you have a dead/dying compressor and a leaking strut you can use that valve under the chair to add air to the system using a pump or a stand alone compressor so you can get rolling again.

Great that's what I think it is the back Shocks are fine front are all the way down the front or the car is Wobbly Bouncing🤬 I just want to get the socks up so I can sell it Great car but time to move on , runs great looks great just the shock issue if you're interested let me know I'll make a great deal I'm in NJ 😂

You have a unicorn my friend. V6 Tdi with air is the Touareg. I've been looking for one but it's hard to find them at auction. It's not always clear what suspension they have.

I'm really interested to see if one can be fabricated from off the shelf parts. I know having the OEM one is cooler but I would still like having the functionality...

I’m actually looking at a 2010 with air. I didn’t see the hose under the rear seat but some folks say it might also be under the spare tire. I didn’t know that when I went and looked at it so I didn’t check...

It can also be in one of the side compartments in the trunk. 2010 Tdi with air? That’s a Touareg unicorn my friend.

It really is. The lady at the dealership asked me what was so different on this one because they’ve gotten calls from multiple states. It went into limp mode on the test drive, “oil pressure /limit 2500rpm”. Think it’s the oil pressure sensor so they are replacing that today. Hope that’s all it is!

djkremer that’s funny. Most people overlook the Touareg. That’s one of the things I think about it. I came close to getting one at auction. I should have done it. I’ve been kicking myself every since.

It looks like the “correct” placement would be under the passenger seat (behind the driver’s seat), but in my car it was on the trunk, near the inflatable spare size.

My used 2006 that I purchased was missing the air hose. I need to find one but hard to find. It's expensive. Any ideas where can I get a used one for a decent price?

Man, after looking around I couldn't really find anything cheap. I didn't realize they are so hard to get a hold off. Most of the ones I found are around $300. The places that had them listed for cheaper all said out of stock. Best bet would probably be ebay but they don't have any right now.

I tried to find an alternative hose with the correct fittings but the fitting is smaller then the average fitting in stores. I'll just get a portable pump that I can plug in or the one to connect to the car battery. Thanks for the response back.

Typically under the back seat. Could be in the trunk.

It's typically in one of the trunk side pockets or it could be with the spare tire. They come in a black fabric bag.

The air tool has a unique fitting. You wouldn't be able to use an air tool
