How to use Thermal Binding 

There are 3 ways to do that. You can use our glue strips placed inside a U-shaped cover that you make yourself. You can buy pre-scored 11X17+ CoverBind "Print on Demand" covers that are laser printable. They come with a separate glue strip that you put in after printing. Lastly, you can use Unibind Steelbacks which come in both 11" and 8.5" lengths. One thier own front and back covers and contents and places them inside the steelback (which has temporary covers that have microperforations). After binding the temporary covers are easily removed to reveal the custom printed covers.

The TB500 is a universal binder that will work with all thermal supplies. That said, all the machines do is add' the right amount of heat and time to get the resin to bond. If you are trying to bind very thick and inflexible material I suggest you score the pages so they will fold more easily. Otherwise, it puts a great deal of stress on the bind. Layflat paper from Xerox, Unibind, Holmberg and others work particularly well.
