Hello mam, Though and however both are used for contrast . but I don't know about the punctuation of them . as we place two commas if however comes in the middle of sentence like this , however, May we do the same with though. While I was reading news paper, I find this sentence in which though is used without commas. Ex. The trouble with harbouring excessive hope with two diplomats though is that the process of their clearance by the senate could stretch by September
Yes, "though" can be used in the middle of the sentence. I recommend commas. Click through examples here on YouGlish. youglish.com/pronounce/though/english/all/cptc=1 You'll see uses of "even though," but focus on "though" when it functions more like "however." In nearly all of the captions, commas are used to separate it. It seems to be the preferred pattern.

"However" is a conjunctive adverb. You're connecting two complete ideas together, but you're expressing a contrast. Coordinating conjunctions like "but" only need a comma. A conjunctive adverb can start a new sentence, appear in the middle or end of a sentence (with the help of a comma), or it can join the second sentence to the first with the help of a semicolon and comma.
