Yes, we only looked at one kind of linking, and we mostly focused on two kinds of intonation patterns. There are more. Please remember to check out the full playlist on intonation. ru-vid.com/group/PLfQSN9FlyB6T-lbREfi4sNi5MI2MmYGmc
Yes, we covered just a little today. I mainly wanted everyone to feel more comfortable about stressing content words, but we didn't talk much about sentence stress with key words. Hopefully, we'll have more opportunities. You might like the short videos I have on tone. See "Mastering Intonation, Linking, and TONE!" ru-vid.com/group/PL81BCA0A2CB139CB7

In this first lesson, I thought I should practice all day with these two words (where were), but I'm glad that you pronounced it again and I learned. Thank you dear teacher😊
I'm glad you found this lesson. Suggested wording with the past tense: Hardly did I understand the structure when I first learned about this lesson. Hardly did I understand when I first watched this lesson.
I usually drink coffee in the morning.when I am at home on the weekend i usually relax or sometimes I walk in the park .I often watch TV after dinner.I always listen music when I'm on the bus.thank you mam❤
It's good you live close to a park. Music makes life more beautiful! Corrections: I usually drink coffee in the morning. When I'm home on the weekend, I usually relax, or sometimes I walk in the park. I often watch TV after dinner. I always listen to music when I'm on the bus.
Sometimes there are several similar words that do not differ much in terms of pronunciation. And this has made my learning a bit difficult😊Rest and Wrest
One goal is to offer exposure to words and expressions learners need to understand. apnews.com/article/artificial-intelligence-hallucination-chatbots-chatgpt-falsehoods-ac4672c5b06e6f91050aa46ee731bcf4
In the first tone :- you are excited and you might be talking to your friend about an exciting event or something In the second tone: you are wondering so you might be talking to your child asking them if he really saw a man with women's clothes 😂😂😂or any unnatural thing that causes wondering, Third tone : when someone told you that something will happen and you told them that it will not and it doesn't occur so you remind them that you told them that before
Good! Yes. #1 is happy and excited. Maybe I saw something or did something amazing. #2 - It's definitely something more negative, possibly unusual. I was thinking of a possible offense, like a rude driver or pedestrian. #3 - Possibly. There's emphasis on "you," so I'm want to know if you yourself witnessed or observed something. Maybe I have my doubts. Others say they saw, but what interests me is YOUR opinion. Glad you took the time to consider the possible intentions. :)
On weekdays I wake up around 7 am and turn on the radio to listen the news. After that the first thing I do is to feed my cats. Later is time for my skincare routine - wash my face, apply serums, moisturizer and sunscreen and changing my clothes. Because I work from home I can wear comfy clothes all day. Then I turn on my computer to start working. I usually work from 8 to 4, but I always take short breaks to stretch and eat a snack. After work is done is time to eat and enjoy the evening. On evenings I do something different everyday like taking yoga or dance lessons, or take a short walk or watch a movie or a series. Around 8 PM is time to start my night routine -washing my face, wearing my pijamas, and drinking a herbal tea- so I can go to bed around 10-11 pm.
Thanks for sharing, Iris. I'd love to work some dance lessons into my weekly or even monthly schedule! You explain your routine well. You can challenge yourself to use more reduced adverb clauses and repeat "is time for/is time to" less. Also, remember to use commas after time markers. A difficult task! And I only have a possible answer for #3 - "you" is emphasized and maybe you can use this when someone is telling an anecdote than doesn't sound plausible.
@@Englishwithjennifer Do some athletes like protein shakes from their muscles? Jennifer, do you wish a healthy omelette? It's a good idea! What do want to eat it for? 😀
