I think you are choosing the wrong region because it happened to me to and some of the options are not perfect, it has nothing to do with me, its the developer of the code

but it's the only code thats mostly stable

@@waiter5292 you should have a modded 3DS XL, when i followed the tutorial i think it came with JKSM? you can find it on github

I don't think it has to be a physical copy, i did this without one just the sd card memory

If you don't want the corrupted thing to happen again, avoid the adding buildings, and if you wanna change anything to it once at a time. And make a backup file, then if it gets corrupted just select it and boom.

you do the same thing on citra but you have to have all of the same programs on citra if that makes sense and dam I replied like 2 years late lmao this does not help

I am unfortunately not the original creator of this software. However, one comment reported that newer versions of the save editor don't work. Which version did you install?

I have no idea, I am not the creator of this script. At the time this was working for a lot of people and people are still commenting that it worked.. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the github software or going to a later, more stable version?

I'm sorry, I should've recommended people to make a BACKUP beforehand. This method does work as you can see in the comments section, but it's very easy to mess up/corrupt for some reason. I am not the developer of this software, so I cannot address as to why this has a tendency to happen.

I did say to make a backup! You can reimport your backup. However, this often happens because the wrong REGION was selected for your game version. The game has three different variations of code it seems: EU, JP, & USA. Are you sure you had the right version selected? Also, yes, I am not the original developer of the code so it has questionable stability when performing multiple extreme edits. Try not to alter numerical values too much!

i'm sure i got the right save file but the thing is, i had like all three regions downloaded on my 3ds. i think my worst mistake ever was deleteing the extra data without knowing what it was for. trial and error got me through but eventually i gave up on save editing because it never worked for me lol

have u launched it for the first time? this error has never happened to me before. it could be possible you messed up, i wouldn't of waited a whole day. i would just say to go from the backup save and try again

@@nicoletine I've launched it a lot and I've seen that loading screen before, but just when I'd be creating a new game after restarting my island. It usually just loads for a few seconds then, but not for this long. This is my physical copy, so I tried downloading a digital copy and trying the process out on that, and after importing the new save file it loaded for hours again. So basically this is only happening when I load the edited/new save. I used Checkpoint too and it did the same thing

idk why this happens for some people. for some it works, some it doesn't. My first save game got corrupted when I tried this before, you should always make a backup.

check the wiki? im not sure. if it didnt show up it might not be part of the version that you have but you can get unlcoked regional versions
