Ok look. Im desperately trying to earn more money to put food on the table. Who isnt. I did my first ride last night. This app is a hot mess. Half the tabs you pointed to I can’t even find, and it is not safe to be fiddling with a Nav system, and contacting customers. I dont have time to fiddle around for 20 minutes with the app while a customer is waiting. Last night, I picked up my passenger, and the route it told me to go wasn’t even in the vicinity where the passenger needed to go. There is no “call support” button. Only a method for texting support. Enough with the texting back and forth for days when I can talk to a human and get this solved in 10 minutes on the phone. I need serious help here. If the passengers destinations are wrong on the app, Im not going to be able to do this. You say “use whatever nav system you want”. How? The destination is in the app and it has its own nav! How can I use my own nav, and safely switch back and forth to the app? This app needs to be streamlined and simplified by 1000%.

The nav took me all over the place when the destination was right up the road. Embarrassing. And what the heck is UberX??? No one has explained what the “X” means. Ugh.
I needed to watch this after today. I accepted a long trip during another trip. I didnt realize that it was over an hour long and 56 miles away. That was not what I wanted. Thanks for info on how to use the app. This should be required when you start
Just a quick tip for all the new drivers on the platform, especially UberEats. Please make sure that when you deliver an order and then the person who picks the order doesn't show up or doesn't seem to be the actual person who ordered the food, contact support immediately so that the agent will be the one who cancels the order. Never try cancelling it yourself while you have the food already or you're not able to give it to the actual person because it will be taken against you and you may lose your access to your account. It will be reported and if ever you're lucky to get your access back to your account, I can guarantee you that it may take up a few days or weeks or even a month to get your access back. I'm not a driver but I worked with Uber as a support before and even our supervisors can't override the system until the review and the appeal is done.
A lot of effort was put into this video, so bravo for that. But it didnt help me at all. The app is a confusing mess with a hundred screens, swipes, buttons, the nav doesn’t work (that was really embarrassing) I’m frustrated and depressed. I need the money to help pay bills. The nav’s destination was totally wrong about the destination. 😞😞😞
@@ChrisS-no3ftdo you have your phone mounted in an easy to access location? Messing with your phone while holding it and driving plus being nervous etc isn’t ideal.
Great tutorial Joe! I would add that drivers should get into the habit of stopping new requests after each accepted trip. This will prompt the algorithm to recognize you as an unavailable driver and adjust the pricing algorithm accordingly. This swings the supply and demand data towards less supply and will trigger surge if and when the demand data dictates to do so. When you get close to your drop off simply turn requests back on.
Okay, so I just Ubered day 1, today. Started doing it the way you said, but then forgot about it and picked a second ride up early into an existing one. I get what all you said, but isn't it better for the driver to accept as many as they can complete effectively at once? I mean back-to-back-to-back-to-back, that's where the money really comes from right?

Recently 2 different riders tried to scam me. They ordered short trips, 4 to 5 miles. After I accepted, they changed the destination, the app told me. I picked them up... and now they wanted a 20 mile trip, which I could not do. I asked them to order a new ride and driver. What are they trying to do ??????????? They did this on purpose.
Don't hit the X and decline it. Just let it expire on it's own ! Otherwise it goes against you. Your acceptance rate is counted and your decline rate is counted against you too. But if it just expires, I'm not exactly sure but I think it doesn't count against you. It's just a missed offer.
Yeah whether or not you let the request go away it’ll count against you. AR is based on the number of requests that are sent to you. Doesn’t matter if you manually decline or let it go away
As was shown in the video there is an acceptance rate and a cancellation rate. If you just let the trip offer expire it counts against your acceptance rate.
What if you see there are others viewing it and you wait 9 seconds (I think we get 10) to see if it goes away by someone else taking it first. If it gets to 10 seconds (if that is your time limit), then it counts against you maybe? If another driver picks it first, it does not. I bring this up as after looking at it for say 6 seconds and I select to pick it, it sometimes comes back as another driver picked it up first. Just a thought?
I just started uber and how come my upfront screen details doesnt show destination, and fare? My first day I had to drive an houe for a psssnger. Was so frustrating. Please help.

You show here on this video, that when a new ride has come available, it shows the pickup of rider AND their destination...Not once have i had that screen come up for me. ( On Uber eats, yes, but otherwise no) So basically, I'm blindly accepting each ride without having the option to see direction and full estimated time of trips...I REALLY would appreciate your advice on this😁Thank's again for the help

Yes! I’m in NJ and it sucks we can’t see what we’re getting paid for when doing Uber Driver. Not to mention the cash back on gas when you get platinum and diamond!
Just an idea for a video...."How to use the passenger app" Passengers ask me how to add a stop, change destination ect. I don't use the passenger app enough to assist them.
so if a customer wants to change his or her drop off location, who is authorized to make the changes? the driver or the customer? if it's the customer that has the authority to make the changes while riding, does the customer make the changes on his or her cell phn or on the driver's cell phn?
@Therideshareguy I just started driving with Uber yesterday, I'm a little confused. On every ride request I didn't receive upfront descriptions like you are showing in this video, like how much the fare will be and what the destination will be. All I saw is where the pick up is.
Ppl is tipping less and less nowadays, they’re so entitled and see us like we’re getting 100% of what they paid, I did accepted a ride yesterday 7 minutes away, yeah but I got stuck on traffic and become 18 minutes just to pick up, It shows pick up point but not where rider was heading, turns out that they add a stop while I was close to them and I had to drive even far more from my regular job, heading back took me 20 minutes and at the end all that for just 3.5 dlls no tip, I really hope my app shows both distances soon

Question - When I receive a fare screen it does not show the amount of the fare only the number of miles, how far away and direction and length of the ride request. How do I see the fare amount itself?
After you arrive passenger has 2 minutes to get in, timer automatically starts when you arrive at the place. After those 2 minutes end a new timer of 3 minutes will start. If you wait those 3 minutes also and the passenger is still not there you can cancel the ride and will get a cancellation fee
One of the questions I have seen in response to this post, and I thought of adding my 2cents. I believe that after X number of rides, drivers are allowed to see the drop off location. Don’t know if I am correct…
Hopefully somebody reads this. Ive just started with Uber Eats, and i am super stressed with understanding how this works. I understand how to accept and turn on navigation to get me to restauant. But the part that i dont understand is its taking me about an extra five minutes to find where ive picked up from restaurant, and then, navigating to customer and then dropping off. Its super hard to understand this app. I think the door.dash app is much easier, and if i dont understand it by the end of the week, then ill just quit lol.
Since I began driving 3 weeks ago, I've never been able to see the destination until the pax is in the car and the ride has begun...fare is displayed only at the end of the ride. My rating is 5.0 and acceptance is 79%

I don't see any of this information. It just says "7 miles Away" and then the star rating for passenger. Sometimes, it'll also say in very small print "$8.75." I just started, and it did give me what is shown here on like the first five offers. But since those five offers or so, I no longer see anything. How do I go back to how it was?
What if you pick up a passenger and they want you to drive a different route than the map or they say they want to go somewhere else other than the drop off on the request and they don't know the address
What do I do if the rides don’t show me anything other than the rider’s name and pick up location? It doesn’t show me how long the trip will be, or how much it will pay. Literally just shows me their name and pickup location 😬

Twice once starting a ride and when finished you say to slide green bar to the right and at end to the left. But there is no green bar on your video::: where is it? Also how to stop the late timer and then start ride?

For some reason my app does not show a fare amount. I have deleted and reinstalled. I am brand new but won't take a drive until I know how much I will make.
The app is going crazy right now! It updated a few days ago and things disappeared. No coffee icon, no navigation tool, no cancel order - just get call or chat with support. Picked up a stacked order as soon as I hit start delivery it showed I was at the drop off location. I ended up using Google maps and typed the address in manually, got all they way there then they cancelled. The app is saying take a right and it's really a left. It says drop off on the right and it's really the left. I don't know what happened but is this happening to anyone else? Tech support is no help!

Why don’t I see the cross streets of pick up and drop off location? Meanwhile I’m Platinum Pro driver in NJ. I spoke to support team couple of times but every time they said your issue is escalated to “technical support team”. I reinstalled the app and make sure I’ve updated version of it. I want to know why your UBER RATING doesn't improve if you're only doing UBER EATS. It stays the same. There's a different rating for UBER EATS. And they want you to have at least a 95 percent score. This is a problem because half of the time, the food we are picking up is ice cold and has. been sitting for too long by the time we pick it up. If we get a 👎 THUMBS DOWN because the food is cold, it is not our fault but we still get penalized for that. I also have problems with showing up to a restaurant where someone else already picked up the order and cancelled on the customer. It gets reassigned to me and the customer is mad because it takes forever to get their orders. They give us the THUMBS DOWN 👎 for that too ! And a lot of restaurants won't remake the order for us. Then the order gets cancelled by UBER and if you're lucky, they pay you $3.00 just for showing up. Also during late night deliveries, a lot of these stores are closed and are still getting orders because they don't shut off their UBER EATS APP ! Another wasted trip. Wastes time, gas and money.
Did Uber eats for a while. All was fine. Just started Uber rides and it doesn’t show me the fare. It only shows me the distance and such. And I updated the app and everything. Kinda irritating. And support was zero help

not bad rating but it does increase your cancellation rate(CR) and it is heck of work to bring it down if you're interested to become GOLD, Platinum or Diamond driver which offers more benefits. and it is one of requirements to qualify for other tiers.
