As I understand it from my own research, peptides and copper peptides also should not be used in the same routine with ascorbic acid. Copper & l-aa counteract each other, and peptides don't work in low acid environments -- so no C or BHA/AHA (unless the peptide product is specifically formulated to work with them.)

Can you discuss the benzene in sunscreen issue and also address how this might impact your skincare line? I’ve been interested in how this might be impacting people who have their own lines.

I used to use the C serum from Mad Hippie for years. But I developed an intolerance to it. After doing some research, I purchased the Timeless 10% C serum with E and ferulic acid, which I started today. I waited to resume using a C serum until after I healed my skin barrier (or mostly healed it). I’m experiencing minor irritation from it, so I’ll try every other day until I can tolerate it easily.

It’s wonderful, I just purchased my first bottle of SkinCeuticals vitamin C E Ferulic serum, I wanted to know in which step of the morning skin care routine should I apply this product? So I use La Mer and I’ve been using it for about nine years now and I wanted a vitamin C to add to my routine. So my daily ritual is that I cleanse my face, I exfoliate my face only twice a week, then I use the La Mer treatment lotion Follow by the La Mer serum then I apply the new La Mer hydrating infused emulsion serum and after that I apply my crème de La Mer cream and sunscreen. I used a resurfacing pad this morning by Derma E that contains fertile acid, resveratrol, DMAE and topped it with their Vitamin C and hyluronic acid serum. Are these compatible? Then I used Estée Lauder Resilience peptide moisturizer under my make up.

Hi, thanks for talking about it. I’m currently using fixderma Aha lightening gel HQ which has glycolic acid and hydroquinone and others. Can I layer these? If not then how can use them best? Is it okay to use my benzoyl peroxide facewash in the morning and then vitamin C? Is that different from a leave on BP in this situation? As a 34 year old who STILL gets hormonal acne, I am tired of waiting for it to pass, and not addressing my other skin concerns (aging, sagging, PIE and PIH). I improved my acne a bit with diet, and I love my BP facewash, glycolic acid (don’t love BHA’s), just started adding azelaic acid again and now feel happy to start vitamin C! I just don’t want to stop my BP facewash, because I feel like everything helps me in their own way.
