Hi! Teachers at OOE.You teachers'deliverance is beyond imagination because the nitty-gritty of the topic is shared in such a way that you share the most technical aspects in the most understandable way........ I'd like to request you teachers that you should cover topics on relative pronouns,like,who,whom,that and which.Another intersting topic is complex subject-verb agreement. And last but not the least,noun clause,adjective clause and adverb clause...... as well as simple,complex and compound and compound-complex sentences..... Thanks & regards......

Hi, I have a doubt in minute 8:42. "Well, I would come if I was free" The question is: Is it fine to say " if I were free" instead ? Thank you so much for your classes! By by
@Oxfordonlineenglish1
@Oxfordonlineenglish1 5 лет назад
Hi Jorge, in this case 'was' is the correct form. When we use '...if I was...' this is something that could actually happen. When we use, '...if I were...' this couldn't actually happen. For example, 'If I were a bird, I would fly to Africa'. Here, you could not actually be a bird, so we use 'were' instead of 'was'. Hope this is useful for you!

Hi Stephanie, Please could you tell What does the question 'Wouldn't you think of living in other country?' might mean? Does it mean that (do you Refuse to think of living in other country?) OR (Didn't you imagine of living in other country?)
@Oxfordonlineenglish1
@Oxfordonlineenglish1 4 года назад
Hi Arman, this means, 'would you not think of living in another country?'. In your desires, do you not want this? When we use negatives in this way, we almost assume that the other person 'would' or 'should' live in another country. So we emphasize, 'why would you not'? We want to know what reason they could possibly have for not wanting to live in another country. Hope this helps you!
