Brilliant, thanks. This is particularly useful because it explains how to see the comments of the students who are watching when you do the live stream. Other videos I had watched seemed to give me the impression that the only way to see the comments was to pre record and then stream the video at a later stage, but that misses the point of being able to interact with the students.

You have explained everything very nicely Sir.. just one question.. if I need to switch to next side I needed to bring PowerPoint on the screen then obs screen will be off the laptop screen.. because if I m presenting from ppt then ppt should be there continuously. Will it create any trouble to obs sir.

At 4:44 there is a dropdown menu to select the date and time for a scheduled live stream. I am using the same new Studio interface and I can drop down and select at Date, BUT the time shows "today's" date and time, not the future date. Also I am totally confused about the Time Zone. I read some where that it shows only Pacific Time Zone. Is that true? I am desparate for documentation. Also, it is not clear how to "go live". I am using OBS and if I set to Auto Start do I assume that as long as I "start streaming" in OBS that my RU-vid stream will automatically start? Any help appreciated.

Thank you sir for a most exhaustive, detailed and step-by-step presentation of RU-vid Live and OBS. I think a serious student will need to watch the video more than once to get the procedure absolutely correct. I have some queries and a few comments on the video, which you may kindly respond to at your convenience. 1. The procedure which you have explained for RU-vid live, can the same procedure be used to create a normal RU-vid video? I am a Financial Planner and wish to produce videos which will guide people who are not conversant with Personal Finance, Investments, Mutual Funds etc. As the audience is varied and of different age groups, it is not possible for all of them to join in at a particular time only. So I would rather make a normal video and upload to RU-vid, which of course also gives me the time to edit any mistakes or glitches. So using my Laptop webcam as the primary recorder, a spare old mobile as the recorder for the writing paper, and my main mobile as the RU-vid viewer, is it possible to do the same procedure you have described? What setting changes would I need to do in OBS and also the RU-vid settings? 2. Would it be a good idea to use a laptop stand or a couple of thick books below the laptop to raise the camera level just below our eye level so that we face the camera from only a slight height and the viewer sees our eyes and face clearly? 3. Would it be better to cover the table area where we are going to do the writing with a larger paper, say A3 size and then place either a ruled paper or normal A4 paper or a pad to do the actual writing? That way the blank area can be avoided. 4. During the course of the lecture, there will be moments when we will be doing only talking, no writing. Is it possible to change the focus from the paper to the face in such a way that the face covers the entire screen. When we want to demonstrate the writing, we bring that into focus, and when we want to display a presentation or image on the screen we bring the laptop into focus. In short, how do we switch between the screens, but giving the majority of the viewing area to the focus screen. 5. If we have an articulating arm, like the arms used to hold TV or computer monitors for the back camera, then we can possibly avoid the writing paper being covered by the hand holding the pen by positioning the camera slightly higher and above the hand, but at the same time not in view of the front camera. Thank you once again for your help and detailed videos. You are doing a wonderful job for teachers and educators all over the country. Pranam!
