We use the manual/test control feature on the Harvest Right LED screen/panel to turn the vacuum pump on and off. By doing so, you can easily time it with the HR digital timer. FYI: We run the vac. pump for 50 seconds.
Why do all the videos on this tell you to disconnect the pump from the freeze dryer and plug it direct to the wall? I just power on the freeze dryer and press the leaf, go to vacumn testing and run it for about a minute! Seems way easier to me!
We use one of the stainless steel freeze dryer trays instead of a board, works the same, might not hold as many jars. Have you had any issues in having jars not seal with this method? Every time we do it we've had a couple that just will not seal, the jars are clean, not chipped, the lids (flats) are perfect, cannot figure out why we're having this issue.
I bought spicer F250 parts and I see this stuff. Interesting because I do dehydration for fruit. Why don’t you have product links in your description? I’ll find it myself for now. Thanks
The food DOESN'T last 25 years. You are NOT freeze drying the food, you are vacuum sealing it. Freeze dried food last 25 years, NOT vacuum sealed food! The amount of time that vacuum sealed food last depends on how you store it. Cool, dark, storage is best. You also need to check your jars to make sure no seals have come lose.
Does this eliminate the need for the oxygen absorber? I would assume so. After opening for use, would then be the correct time to add to jar... thoughts? Great video. Thank you 🙏
