Hi everyone I found the bearing part number at AutoZone it's b 2110 for the needle bearing and the thrust washer that goes behind the wheel hub part number is 47766 thanks all
Does this spin when you unlock the wheel and leave it in 2 wd? I have this issue but im wondering if i can temporarily tie wrap this thing down front clacking and just drive 2wd for the time being.
@Ventures Truck Parts, I accidentally put a Dana 50 axle into a Dana 60 front diff. We'll, one side, anyway... The driver's side wouldn't go in far enough, which raised the alarm bells. That's when I notices the difference in axle size/splines. So, the passenger side has the 50 installed, and I beat the piss out of the driver's before stopping and putting the 60 back in. My question is, what was I beating the axle shaft against inside the diff when trying to get the shaft to seal? Could I have done damage internally?? And how about the wrong shaft fitting into the passenger side??? Will it JUST not engage properly, or is damage already likely done???? Switching to the Dana 60 axle asap, btw...
Thanks for not making this video 10min long. I just needed to know the flathead screwdriver pop off bit. To the point no mucking around. I appreciate it 👍
ford dealer parts told me cant get the black hub o ring or the selector switch (plastic on/off outer switch part, it does come out but theres a trick, move it to between c and k in "lock") v groove oring unless you buy a new locking hub assmbly. I could prob source one but today there is no American made legendary quality company oring kit anymore. If anybody knows of one still left, please let me know. There is a bearing inside as well, anybody know if there are any numbers on the bearing ?
I am looking at your website and found these front outer hub/shaft bearings so great stuff, my next quest. is, these are the outer, is there a front inner hub/shaft bearing ?
@@VenturesTruckParts Sorry if im dumb but to clarify this, you are saying this front outer hub/shaft needle bearing on the backside is the only bearing on the inside of the hub that is around the stub shaft ????
@@brianblithe2271 The small needle bearing is the only one you can change. Its function is to hold the weight of the axle shaft. The actual hub assembly itself holds the weight of the truck. It is not serviceable. If your wheel bearing is bad you will have to replace the whole unit hub.
@ 9:48, you saying that we can take this hub bearing out ? I was under the impression that you could only buy the whole hub ? if so you got any dana/spicer officials or OEM ?
What if you just put some grease on your fingers and put them in the tube to hold the axle up and then just slide your fingers out when you’re close enough….
I don't usually comment on these videos, but I must say This was super good. Thank you for posting this. I've got a bad upper ball joint and was scratching my head how the axel comes out. Again thank You!! Edit... My darn vaccum and axel did not come out as easy as yours!! cut my behind, but at least I felt confident how it is supposed to come out.
I heard to oil it repatedly then use flatheads but never done it. I also want to know if there are any numbers on bearing and if we can still get a replacement somewhere.
3 months ago I put a entire brand new front end under my 2000 F-350 7.3l and I did it with watching and learning from you guys. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏 👍👍 Jay.
The food DOESN'T last 25 years. You are NOT freeze drying the food, you are vacuum sealing it. Freeze dried food last 25 years, NOT vacuum sealed food! The amount of time that vacuum sealed food last depends on how you store it. Cool, dark, storage is best. You also need to check your jars to make sure no seals have come lose.
