I was just thinking after skating last night and FINALLY landing some clean varials like "Man, I need to work on this trick more and get them more consistent" then here's this tip trick video this morning lol Good shit as always Jonny! Squeaky-clean varials look steezy AF.
@@dalebruce8362 Haha no you know how it is. Always stop skating for a few years. Plus thats a rare minority of people, I can however varial kickflip body varial.
Patrick Hartmann I know...haha I'm actually friends with Dario and Jonny so I always intentionally call them Swedish because it always triggers somebody lmao
varial flips look good, just because theyre easy doesnt mean there should be a stigma. its like saying a pop shuv it isnt cool because its a "basic" trick but any trick can be made to look good especially this trick.
i am learning tre but it's so hard and i have forget v flip because i had too train for tre consequently i can't do v flip and tre it's too sad (sorry i dont speak american verry well im french... pls don't hit me :/ )
People hate the trick because they can't do the trick. Try pulling a varial kickflip in a game of S.K.A.T.E. and your opponent gets a letter 9 out of 10 times.
I really like when you do some of these more simple trick tips, your good at explaining foot position and even if I already know how to do a trick I learn how to do them better with your help.
Damn the quality of the video is too damn high. It looks awesome, but it is also hard to focus eyes on the board flipping, because video is so sharp and clean even in the background, but you're content is too good to complain about it man :D
LordOfTrash same with me bro i even land them sometimes but they always do like a 90 degree turn it’s so annoying i’ve been trying to drag my foot more before i flick and it’s helping
So, shoulders should be like 90 degrees to a deck? I know you did say that, but want to make sure, because when I learnt how to kickflip I used to have my shoulders looking the same direction as my front foot (and it worked back then), but then I thought, maybe I should keep my shoulders 90 degrees to the deck and I could not do the kickflip. Now, I've got back to be looking in front foot direction and my flips are ok. And I do not want to make them mistakes again.
Back in my day this trick was used only for building confidence for better tricks. Once you land a couple of these I suggest to move on. You will thank me later
Amazing video. You covered most of the important things like balance and in what direction to move your feet, and how much power should I apply, and how my body shouldbe rotated. Most tutorials dont talk about such things. For experienced skaters these points might seem like something obvious, but for a beginner like myself its actually the hardest part to figure out. Thx, keep up doing tutorials. Yours are the best! And cheers from Russia =)
it would help me if you show your tricks from an aerial view and super slow mode. it looks like you are scooping your back foot . I like all your trick tips, thank you
The funny thing is I landed this wile learning a kick flip I tried it for the 6 time my pop shovets are awesome so I put it to together and I did it before a kick flip 😂
Can someone give me advice to relearn kickflips I literally lost them after I stoped skating but I can still do treflips. Everything I do a kickflips I kind of do it Ninja kick/bone style and my front foot never lands but I catch my backfoot on the board in the air
Notahero121 had this issue when I learned them. Back foot problem is due to not committing and turning hips. To practice. Hold onto something. It helps miles. And then go to grass. Land a couple then concrete
