This trick is easier to learn than kickflip for most people. Toe flips are really fun and definitely worth a shot trying! :) Patreon: / jonnygiger Buy my Pro model: www.theshredquarters.com/jonn... Music BY: / simiux
It can still be done on loose trucks, but you will have to preload pressure with your front foot a lot more to get the spring effect required to flip this trick. It's harder. but not quite impossible. I do think medium trucks to tight make this 4x easier still though.
Just landed my first pop-shuvit the other day, this is definitely next on the list! Thank you so much Jonny, you're the inspiration that got me back into skating after 10 years off my board.
I startet out skateboardin in June this year and I'm 37 now! I was skating when I was a child in the age of 12-13y. Jonny teached me with his videos a lot and wish youtube was existing than. Thank you Jonny and keep going. Maybe when you're in Germany or I'm in CH we're going to meet each other.
Wow thank you Mr Giger just took up skating at the tender age of 41 three months ago , watched this video and within 2 days I landed it 😁 was shaking like a leaf when I landed it . Thanks to your videos I can now varial toe kick flip , Casper stall , rail flip , ollie and shuv it , also landed probs 3 pop shuvits . Your an inspiration and awesome teacher 👌
In some cultures, putting you shoes on your hand and pointing at someone, indicates a desire to fight to the death. Can't wait to try this trick tho. 🙏
Thank you for this trick tip. This is a trick I have been wanting to learn for some time now. You taught me my first flip trick, which was an old school kickflip, now I can learn this neat trick. So to you and everybody who reads this, I hope you have a great day! 😁
Hey Johny.. i want to say from the bottom of my heart "thank you".. ive been trying this trick many times.. watched many tutorials, but never even once i close to land it.. but after your tutorial today, TODAY, i landed it.. my foot position exactly like you said.. EXACTLY.. 🤙
Thank you so much, Johnny! I am currently in the process of learning kickflips but when I went to the park today I just focused on learning these. In about an hour or so I learnt how to do them and it felt so good landing my first flip trick on a board, even if it wasn't a kickflip. I absolutely love your content and your tutorials are so helpful, thanks so much for all the help and entertainment you've given me!
The kickflip really is a difficult trick. Took me almost 10 years to finally get it down. A month later, i got the varial kick. Now if only I could finally land a heelflip.
@Javier Cruz Well, for me it was all about that front foot. I had this mental block that kept my front foot always away from the board, landing next to it. You really have to put extra focus and effort into the necessary motions, in this case, bringing your front foot back to where it was before you kicked. I lacked commitement and corrected that, after so long. Also, make sure you have that good pop too. Can hardly kickflip without an ollie!
no no no no, thats a variation of a pressure flip. for me it was waaaay harder than the kickflip. i do them a bit differently, though: my rear foot is facing forward instead of sideways and it allows me to lift it pretty high, maybe you could try it yourself, if you feel like it. great video as always, have fun filming them :)
Hey Jonny this is a great video, and I have been skating your Cerberus Reissue for almost 2 weeks now and it’s the best board I’ve ever skated no joke I’ve even landed a 360 double flip to rail by accident somehow
I just took the time to learn this one, only took me a couple minutes! The foot placement segment was really helpful. Been awhile since I learned a new "simple" trick. This made my day! I had to return to post this comment. Cheers
Sensei Jonny is correct. This is the very first trick I learned while in the early stage of my skateboarding. I was practicing my shuvits and accidentally made one. 👍👍
Last time I was this early Rodney Mullen was still on A-Team. but all jokes aside I've been wanting to learn this and boom, you make a trick tip lesson thank you sir.
hey Jonny my duude, can you please do more of these easy good looking tricks? These are perfect for begginers trying to not drop out on skateboard cuz they're not landing tre flips and stuff... thanks my man, cheers!
that trick went from...... :? harder than it looks... Took my foot off and practiced just the varial flip with one foot. Once I pushed down with toe and gave a slight 45ish degree pull while pushing down. Boom!! toe flip. Hopped on, committed. Few tries leaning too far forward, adjusted and got me one Thank you @JonnyGiger
Man oh man!!!!! What would I do without Jonny lol I can't kickflip for tish!!!!! So anything pressure flipping I'm down for lol also love the old-school kickflip 👍
Damn i like your vibe, im from South Africa and you like my favourite skater. I just started skating and I'm using a really broken board my mate gave me. You've probably got alot of dope boards, wish i could have a better board
I just found out they're building Europe's biggest indoor skatepark adjacent to where I work. At least they claim, I haven't looked into it. I don't skate but that really makes me want to pick it up. If you ever make it to the Netherlands, absolutely come over to Eindhoven once that park is done!
Nice. Den versuche ich mal. Habe immer beim normalen kickflip Probleme gehabt, das Board zu catchen. Shuv it kann ich ganz gut. Das sollte hin hauen. Danke
Hey Giger! You know what would be cool? If your skateboard had one of those Lenticular Printings on the backside so that when you did slow-mo the images would change for us.
My funny experience with this trick was first ,I was experimenting with my board and one day I realised that I can make a flip like this and after a few trys I figured out a bs 180 toeflip but I did not know that this trick was actually existing an that some skaters made it before😂
