Some of these tips are just good for expo/ trade show vending in general. You know a video is good when its applicable to more than just the video’s original topic

Another tip... Don't ignore customers that don't 'look' like reptile owners. I've been ignored by people at cons because I guess I don't fit whatever the reptile owner mold is. I've heard the same from other women. 😒

The newest snake-friend seems sweet and bright, so I think Sunny would be a nice name. Also, thank you for all your hard work. I feel much safer and confident when caring for reptiles now!
I am a reef vendor not a reptile vendor but I think my tip still applies. Sometimes less is more one of my 1st shows I brought everything I had and it was a lot and it was extremely confusing to potential buyers there was so much that they got confused and some of them bought but also some of them walked away wanting so much that they didn't buy anything so I would take just what you think you're going to sell and make sure it's really clean and displayed well and I think it will be an easier show for you and you will sell as much or more that's just my opinion. But after that 1st show I always took less because I broke my neck trying to carry so much and display so much and I know I would have sold as much and probably more with half of what I took on display and it would have been a little less of a marathon day for me.

You should keep a master list in digital form that has everything on it. Print it out to check stuff off and leave spaces for odds and ends you don’t need every time. That way you don’t have to rely on a weeks worth of brainstorming and still miss things. That’s what we do for camping and it works well!
When I saw you were writing a number on the back of that business card I was like “Oh no, did they write an actual number down” but then I realized 😂 Now that song is stuck in my head!
I fully agree with you, showering before going out should be obvious. All I can imagine is that a lot of people underestimate the amount of work an expo means when they go there for the first time so they don't realise they're gonna be sweaty

My hubby and I have been working together with ball pythons and cornsnakes for 6 years and now most of our females are ready to breed. We're going to be checking out all of your videos to learn more about snakes. Always have room for learning! ;) You and your hubby have been awesomely amazing!! As a craft show vendor, I recommend having a ‘show kit’ Mine includes a lot of the things you mentioned like paper, pens, business cards, extension cord, and tapes, but it is also where I keep my cash bag, my square reader, paper receipts for cash sales, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, extra signage/price tags, etc. My #1 tip for shows is zip ties. Have lots of them in lots of sizes. I was at an outdoor event once and it got really windy. Our easy-up tent was about to fly off (even with weights), so we zip tied it to the fence behind us and to neighbors tents. They saved us! They’re also good for cable management, quick display fixes, and tons of other things! I’d also recommend scissors and a pocket knife to cut said zip ties at the end of the show. But having all the basics together in my show kit to just grab and go really helps me not forget stuff.
I got my first ball python today from a family member who couldn't take it when he moved. I have been watching your videos for a little over a year now and the only reason I felt ready to take on the snake is because of these videos!!!
Something I like to do when I prep to sell product at an expo/convention is keep an electronic version of a checklist (which I print out to mark up while I'm running around getting these things together), which you can update and add to as you remember or think of things. IE so if you forget boxes, you add it to your list right away and then the next show you're at, it'll already be on the list. Keeping an electronic one can also be helpful by making it modular, specifically you can set up an excel file with a sheet per list. So you could have "general", "snakes", "rats", etc. And if you're not selling rats (or geckos, or what have you) for one of the shows you go to, you know you can safely leave off everything in that list and just not print it.
To the BO, you can always bring back up deodorant in case as you might get a little sweaty, so it's nice to have it a long just in case. I also myself pack gum as toothpaste will stop giving that minty clean smell after a while or if you eat. :)
I usually make a list on my phone. iPhone has a checklist option in notes. It’s nice to reuse the list and add or delete things from it. This helps to not forget things twice.
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU for mentioning the personal hygiene aspect for both vendors and attendees. I have definitely experienced the B.O. cloud at expos and had to change routes or miss tables all together because of it. Good hygiene is a sign of respect for yourself and others.

This is a very interesting to know, seeing how other animal breeders participate in their respective shows. Even though I raise rabbits I am picking up on a lot of things that would be a good idea to use during my next show.
Definitely not wobble. It was just trying to escape. Noodles can and will contort themselves looking for a weak point of their cage to try to find just the right angle to push to get out.

Always enjoy your videos, talked with Ed at a few of the expos. Had to laugh at the Fire & Ice skit, daughter purchased her Leopard Gecko from them very nice company and people.
I would like to add: bring a low* table or other surface for your snacks/drinks/whatever. I don't sell animals of any kind, but I've been to a LOT Of swap meets, fairs, and so on, and I can tell you, having a separate surface for things not for sale looks SO much better! Also prevents you spilling your drink or food on something you are trying to sell. I spill a lot, ruined a keyboard while typing just a week ago because I had my vegetable juice (in a glass) on my desk. Don't be me, I don't even want to guess how many keyboards I've ruined. *I specified low, so it can semi-hidden/protected.

Use an app like AnyList to develop a packing list for expos. Check each item off as you pack. If you discover that you've forgotten something at an expo, add it to the list so that you don't ever forget it again.
10:34 this is so important! i missed out on buying a reptile that i really wanted because the two vendors were talking the entire time. i respect that they had a good bond but i was standing right there and obviously didn’t want to interrupt
I’ve always done the checklist thing for vacations that I go on. I bring it with me to make sure I don’t forget anything when coming home. While on the trip I add to the list anything I wish I brought and scratch off things I never needed so next time I take the same trip I have it ready.
