Simple. Straight forward for a rookie or beginner to learn. I’ve found most videos don’t show the “EXACT” fishing line setup. From reel to the end. Appreciate the straight forward info
I'm a handliner who is getting more in to jigging. watched a lot of videos on it this off season to get pointers. This is the best. He explains the technique fully and the reasoning behind it. Other videos just show people showing off catching fish. I've caught hundreds, maybe thousands, of fish. I don't need to see that. I need to know how it's done with this technique.
its great. we have limited almost every trip at the upper river. they are usually from my experience 20-30 fow. at darker times sometimes they chase bait into shallow water like 10fow. the Detroit river is very easy to fish when you fish one section. just run a drift at 20fow then keep running drifts deeper and deeper
Arguably the very best walleye guide on the Detroit river. He was just trying too help out others for fishing the river. Jon is a very nice person about answering people's questions.
no. this will never work. walleyes are not bottom feeders. they will almost never hit a jig from the bottom. the only thing you will catch that way is snags. best way is to touch bottom and quickly lift it as soon as possible. walleyes tend to hit the jig on the way down or right at the top of you jig motion
