Great video CK! I wanted to ask you if you have any videos/tutorials pertaining to cutting corners on a hood or a very curvy area, I wrapped hoods before but its usually the part I struggle with the most when it comes to wrapping lol
Wish I knew how to add pics of what I've done. I used the cheap Ebay films, I wrapped my round gas tank cap in black chrome, looks great until the backside. Has a ton of fingers, none on the edges, or visible until you open it.
I know a lot of tool companies are really pushing the magnets to stick to the car but it’s always been a huge pet peeve of mine to put tools and shit on the car. I like to use rolling carts and making it a rule to never set shit on top of a car, let alone a customers car. Have you ever had anything cause damage by setting something on a car or am I just overly paranoid?
The tools that stick to the car have never caused any damage. The only issue is that you can't leave the magnets resting on an already wrapped area for too long. If you leave them for too long it'll leave impressions in the film
That's why we also have GeckoPatches. Christian uses them in few videos. You can stick them to any gloss, smooth surface like the window of the car and have all your magnetic tools on them. We have a big variety of magnets. Check our site www.signmakertools.ca for tools that are used in this video. instagram.com/p/BSvwcufB6M9/?taken-by=signmakertools
Massively helpful tutorial that can be applied to so many elements of a wrap job. You are the best dude! My kid is looking at that exact blue. Does the gloss hold up OK? Thanks again Christian!

you're beast and all that, but I seriously cringe every time you stick magnets and tools to a customer car...you might actually be losing customers from that. As much as I like your vids, I would never let you near my car after seeing that. Just constructive criticism. Love the vids and the info
agreed, maybe see if GoPro will sponsor you some gear since you have such a big outreach of people now. would be great for videos like this to show exactly what youre looking at
Great instruction!! I wrapped the fuel door on my 10th Gen Type R and it came out pretty good, I think. I used film from VViViD (Ghost Metal Forged Composite Carbon). Though I'll probably redo it, to stretch more around the 2 corners and cut the film a bit larger so I have more to wrap around the door lid.
