Thanks for all the infos! This hike is on my buket list for my trip to the US next year! The only "fear" I have is that I'm going to be hiking it alone, so let's hope I don't twist my ankle or something
You can do it! It would be better to have someone with you, but if not, just make sure you have a safety SOS device like a Garmin! Better to be safe than sorry, thanks for watching
Kevin, wow, what an amazing Christmas gift this video was. Thank you for exploring these amazing sites and sharing with us your adventures. Words cannot express how beautiful this place is.
First, the bokeh was sick! Great visuals overall. Thanks for putting the info in on the water. Not sure what mineral(s) make it that color, so I wasn't sure if it was drinkable.
This video is amazing!! Thank you so much for putting this all together, definitely on the bucket list now! Curious if you had to get a permit for video to post on RU-vid?
Great "instant" edition of the full video! What months do you think the water is the blueish? We just start planning, and trying to avoid chocolate color like you guys the first time!
So beautiful. Looks like an awesome and challenging trek. Really love the heads up to this less crowded site. Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
So is the $12 permit acceptable for camping overnight as well? Also, how long did it take you to hike there? & how long did it take you to hike back? I’m going the first week of April. Hopefully that’s not the muddy runoff time :/
Did the AllTrails app take you all the way to the oasis ? Or did you use some other resource to accompany? I heard you mention the garmon navigation system. I don’t trust the cairns & just want to find some sort of assurance that I won’t get lost with the right equipment!!! Your feedback would be really helpful!!!
We are thinking about doing this next april. You said that the water was brown the first time you went. Can i ask what time of year you went when it was brown and what time when it was blue.
Hi there, my husband and I are planning for Arizona trip on early December this year (we’re from Indonesia and need to plan way ahead). This place looks incredible. Do you recommend going to this Oasis early Dec? Are you interested in being our guide? Or is there any tour agent who can arrange for this hiking trip? Thanks in advance :) -Lenny
Are you an experienced backcountry backpacker or hiker? This is not an easy trail - in fact there is no trail. You will have to find your way down via loose rock, gravel with no proper trail. It is almost 3000 feet vertical down to the river. Unless you are used to backpacking such trails, I would strongly advise against it. Instead try and get a reservation to HavaSupai. You will get similar colors of the water, well marked trail and good campsites.
@@KevinEassa not referring to havasupai. I’ve visited the east rim/confluence overlook a couple times and wanted to visit back in 2020. I had called the ranger station then and they said they were not allowing visitors at that time. Good to know they’re back and open. Here’s my proof lol: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z1edkzahUrg.html
@@KevinEassa either way that is very cool you got to not only see the turquoise water but actually swim in it. What a dream, man! The two times we camped at the overlook the water was brown. Such an amazing area on the east side and I hope it stays hush hush
@@KevinEassa side note…I had some trippy dreams camping in that area. I truly believe that that area is heavy in the spiritual realm. It sticks with me to this day. I’m so intrigued. The only way I could bring a piece back home with me was to purchase some pottery on the side of the road 🙂
