In this video I am demonstrating VNAV PTH, VNAV SPD and how to use it for your flight sim.
Let me know if you learned a thing or two in the comments below!
What do you want me to do a video on next time?

Excellent instruction. Cleared up a lot of things for me. I would also like to have more info on how to actually set up VNAV in preflight. TY for the video.

One of the best explanations about the subject. I've been simming for a long time I finally understand of vnav path vs vnav speed. I used to dive like crazy using flight level change if I was too high.

We were flying in the PH-nic simulator but really did not understand VNAV. But with some tutorials we almost got it. After watching your video it makes it 100% clear. After all its logical but to find out yourself without help it stays unclear. We will now VNAV like a pro. Watch our next video. Thanks for your excellent tutorial.

That was a great explanation. I like the combi of cockpit and whiteboard to explain the theory. I just started to fly the pmdg 737 and then this helped! TY!

If we fly well past our T/D, I'd ask ATC for some extra track miles and follow a normal descent, rather than subject the plane and passengers to an uncomfortable steep descent.

Thanks for watching. I usually try to recover the patch with LVL CHG, if thats not enough, VS -4000 SPD BRK, and if I cannot recover there, its more track miles. Rarely we need more track miles though, as we usually plan our descend and expected lateral navigation into the FMC before descend. That way we mitigate high energy approach 99% of the time. Thanks for your comment

Thanks a lot and the best VNAV explanation. Learned a lot where any other person have not shown. By the way, appriciate more closer screen shots of the FMC when you input parameters. But you have to do lot of editing. Very very good explanation of VNAV.

how do you set the vnav to vnav pth? i really need help and im confused
@9milesup
@9milesup 4 месяца назад
Hi, VNAV PTH means you are ON the calculated VNAV Descend path. If you are above your VNAV Path, it will show VNAV SPD in the FMA on the PFD. To fix this, try and press SPD INTV on the MCP and increase the speed to maybe 300 kt until you are back on the path. If you start your descend before your T/D point, VNAV will go into VNAV PTH with a 1000 ft per min descend until you are on the VNAV PTH. :-))
@turhanatar7574
@turhanatar7574 19 дней назад
@@9milesup he is probably asking how to change from vnav speed to vnav path. When you are descending on VNAV path, click on des button on cdu, you may select vnav speed from there and also you can change the descend speed from this page, same thing if you are on vnav speed and you want to change for vnav path.
