I love the idea of crimping hair and I really do think it's going to come back in style. But I prefer to crimp some of my hair and not brush it out at all because it can tend to look frizzy but straight hair mixed with crimped hair I think would look great. Lastly, I love how this crimper doesn't make your hair look dry but instead gives your hair a nice glossy finish.
I love watching the crimping action. Very relaxing. As someone with straight/fine hair I wish this look could be seen as acceptable. But from the majority of the comments clearly it is not. Oh well.
Why care what others think? I crimp my hair every time when I travel or go out and stuff, not very often because it does damage hair but I do it. If you like the look go for it, don't care what others think
@@80sfreak14 i litterally always crimp my hair when I go out with friends and whatnot because it looks good on me. It is literally the only hairstyle that looks good on me and makes me feel like the woman i am. So far my hair is fine, i guess it depends on what hair type you have but my hair is still healthy.
I think it looks cool!- a very good base if u re gonna braid or do an updo or u can leave the ends and curl them. I love the crimper probably because it makes my hair look very thick
@@elisabethdaniel9806 it is an easy hair style for me. Means I do not need to change my hair for the rest of the week. And agree to making my hair thicker.
i just got done doing this a couple hours ago. i do it once a week, with dry shampoo and sleeping in a single braid, i can wear this for 5 days before i need to reset it. takes me about 25 minutes. feels like i have 800% more hair. no more tangles, looks GREAT in a bun and a ponytail. oh, and i just finger comb it out really thoroughly, i never use an actual brush or comb, not even in the later days, the texture keeps the hair from tangling, it's wild, cus i have waist length super fine hair that tangles instantly with every movement.
I hate to cut this down, but what he did to her hair looks like everything I try to keep my hair from doing lol. Except for the volume. I get pretty good root volume from using a flat iron on the roots sticking my hair straight up or in the opposite direction of growth.
The reason they do this is to produce more voluminous updos and curls. It is not a style in and of itself (unless you personally like it...) and if you were a hairstylist or a client who has had this done, that would be clear. I’ve had this done and plan to do it for my wedding to create a voluminous Hollywood wave. 😊
I used to do my hair like this when I was 8 because I was obsessed with the 80’s then one day I went like that to school and never again have I done my hair like that
(intro music) me : this is gonna be good (outro music) me : well tht wasn't tht helpful...you transformed a lovely head of hair into a fizz pot...or shall I say birds nest. lol
Can I buy this amazing hair crimper in the U.S? It is the only hair crimper I have seen that gives amazing volume and looks gorgeous! Please respond thank you!
Anyone saying how bad her hair looks has never krimped their hair in super small sections and then brushed it out. This makes me wanna go out and get another krimper just to have the volume
i agree, it feels amazing. i just got done doing it a couple hours ago. feels like i have 800% more hair. no more tangles, looks GREAT in a bun and a ponytail. i do it once a week, with dry shampoo and sleeping in a single braid, i can wear this for 5 days before i need to reset it. oh, and i just finger comb it out really thoroughly, i never use and actual brush or comb, not even in the later days, the texture keep the hair from tangling, it's wild, cus i have waist length super fine hair that tangles instantly with every movement. go get one!!!
I love crimping my hair, I have shoulder length hair and it is extremely thin so this helps out a lot! You will love it! I don't have this type I have the old one from the 90s😂
I bought one at TARGET for $14.68 it was a older model on CLEARANCE but weeks later a new one came out it was different colors but it costed the same as the one bought on CLEARANCE weeks earlier and I bought mine in November of last year
Dear Mr. Koniak, Thank you for your tutorial. I have a crimper that I have never ever used. But now after watching this I know how to add more volume to my flat hair. However the incredible shine went away the minute you brushed out the hair. Is there a way to keep the shine and not make the hair look frizzy and dull ? Please advise.
Come on dude! In everyday life crimper is used for adding root volume to straight fine hair. The crimped strands should be hidden under upper untreated layers. I thought a hair expert would know that
