How To Waltz Dance For Beginners - Waltz Box Step

I'm learning to be the cool guy in everyones dreams that will know and ask to waltz with them. Edit: I’m cringing at this comment but the good news is I did end up dancing with someone so that was nice.

I don't have a partner to dance with, why am I even here?

I read "social dancing" as social distancing, and then I saw that it was published in 2017 and I'm like "Wait, I must have read social distancing wrong, 2017 was last year." Long story short, I'm an absolute idiot.

I love ballroom dancing. Especially the Waltz. I used to ballroom dance when i was younger. I have not been able to in many years as i am now in a wheelchair. I miss it so much and love watching it.

Anyone else let quarantine hit them so hard they are looking up this stuff?

been learning how to walk again since an injury in the army, been building myself up for 6 years now and have set a 90 day goal to be able to dance one song managed around 30 secs so far

I still remember the first time I danced waltz properly, it was magical. On the shores of vistula, a modern city towering over me and the cold wild waters below my feet. The sky over me was covered in stars as I slowy did the box step, trying not to stumble on the sand. It would've been the most romantic thing I've ever done except... I danced it with a buddy of mine cuz my crush ditched me

I have a Dark Academia playlist on my phone that is essentially a bunch of dark waltzes and sometimes listening isn't enough of an outlet but I felt dumb not knowing how to move to something I listen to everyday. So very glad this video is here! Super helpful!

I am so envious of people who can dance like this. I tore it up pretty good in the 70s with disco, but this...this is beyond my skill level.

Me and my boyfriend are learning how to dance the waltz in this is a good practice so I actually know what I'm doing and technically this is our first date this kind of helping me not be so nervous

Guys, girls love it when you can sweep us off our feet with these kinds of dances. It both comes as surprise, and very romantic. We all know that part Where I come from, people seem to have forgotten these dances (only preserving them for "fancy" parties which also comes rarely, and even then the slow dances come random, penguin waddle movements). So if I ever meet a guy who can dance like the classics, I'd be interested for sure. I don't like the modern sweet dance where everyone waddled like penguins (from experiences in prom, everyone did just that)

They did a great job. In a beginner video, they did the male and female parts seperately, then together. During the video of them dancing, one could see both sets of feet moving to his count. And- he explained the 'up' and 'down' element to the waltz which no one explains!! Great job!! And all in 5 minutes!! Actual waltz music one might hear ballroom dancing might have helped- but great job!

This brings me straight back to childhood standing on my father's shoes on the dance floor as he taught me the Box Step; hopefully dads today do the same with their daughter.

My dad used to bring me to a nearby manor close to my childhood home, he would have me dance on his feet in the ballroom when I was a toddler, now I wish to learn the waltz properly so I can dance with him one more time :)

I am to dance with my granddaughter at her wedding next month. I've known their wedding date for over a year so I've had plenty of time to go through my extensive digitized song library to find a song. My favorite music is doo wop and as I was listening to a song called "You're Not Too Young" by Charles McCullough & The Silks (rare and very unusual!) I realized that it is in 3/4 time - which means it a waltz! The song seemed appropriate (she's 26) and I really like it - but I've never waltzed in my life - and neither has she. So here I am - seeing If I/we can pull it off. Let the practicing begin!

So, i just found out that my girlfriend never attended any of her high school prom. She's 25 now and I'm trying to learn how to waltz so i can give her a proper dance.

Because of how baggy your pants are, my husband is having a hard time knowing and remembering which leg he is supposed to bend when going up and/or down. It would better to show what you are doing if your pants hugged you legs a bit more.

This is great! I miss ballroom dancing. My wife doesn't know how. Could you perhaps make some other ballroom basics videos? I (partially) remember the two-step and that it can be used with any 4/4 beat. I've forgotten so many simple dances. Can you refresh my memory and perhaps train some new people to join in? Don't forget to monetize them!
