I have not learnt Rabbath fingering system - more conventional Simandl. Is the Boardwalkin book still useful and relevant without learning Rabbath? I would like a book of scales based exercises that for the various keys exercise different fingering alternatives
Cambridge Sinfonietta Yup-you can do the ingredients in Boardwalkin even if you haven’t learned the Rabbath system. I’ve found that doing small shifts instead of pivots gives you the same general concept.
