Awesome Julian, its all about the yellow markers, so if the vocal is in time i only need to put the beginning of the vocals in the right start postion and then take a marker on the start and at the end of the (track) vocals and adjust then the very end of the vocals at the right spot..JOB DONE THANKS (ableton is such an insane program and with soundforge as sample editor just and huge instument for big things) u got a new subscriber, looks like you enjoy and know what u doing ;)
If you're seriously dedicated to learn it you can, its not a matter of hope or natural talent. Just a matter of how badly you want it. Ive been producing for almost 3 years now. And I have at least 5 friends who have been producing for 5+ years. And Iv'e had some of them admit iv'e surpassed them in skill/knowledge level. Hell.. Rezz only produced for 2 years before she became famous. You got it this man! (Ableton is the shit btw) I just switched from FL to Ableton a couple months ago and its great! :D
Very helpful video. Answered every question I was looking for. But do you still recommend fitting the tempo of the acapella to the metronome if I’m just using slices or chops from the acapella to fit with a beat?
Hello, I find something in Ableton that confuses me every time I think about it. It is that If the instrumental has a completely different tempo than the vocals, why the rythm of both parts matches perfectly at the same time? This means they are sincronized in the same rythm with different tempos, how is that possible? In my case, I'm working in a proyect where my instrumental's tempo is faster than the acapella, but they match perfectly. A problem that I have is that I warped really well a long part of my mashup with a different method that is using only three warp markers and setting 1.1.1, then I am in a point where I can't continue warping because the BPM changes very quickly and I'm stuck in that part. Instrumentals also have to match with the general tempo of the proyect?
3:10 Isn't Live's "Warp" the same as the so called "Flex Time" feature in Logic X (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x7EMW70DcCI.htmlm47s) ?
Depends on your acapella in question. also, You get it into the ballpark of the desired tempo using the first method, and do fine tuning with added points. I was more-so saying you shouldn't move transients over one by one to put them on the grid like many people do
Instantly giving you a thumbs up at 0:38 for explaining the abbreviation for DAW immediately after saying it. I already knew the meaning but I appreciated that.
