How to wash a Silver Cross Pioneer Pram. 

That makes sense! I have actually taken off one of those clamps to fix it as it was on the wrong way, but I thought the hoods all come with the frame and the clamps on each colour ?? That’s how I have seen them?

I know I was nervous when I washed my first pram so I like to try and help people out :)

I prefer to wash them in the machine if I can as I feel it is more thorough but If I can’t I usually scrub them in the bath, you can see some methods of me doing it in my other pram cleaning videos, so far so good! :) But yes good idea to hose them and scrub them outside as long as the weather is hot! :)

I have since had 10+ Silver Cross prams including the big old coach built prams which I love 😍 So glad that there are videos like yours on all kinds of pram systems as I have a few other brands other than Silver Cross and I am grateful for videos that show how to strip fabric parts for a proper clean as sometimes the manual doesn't state that clearly!! Thank you so much 🥰❤ I will clean my first Pioneer in a few days, glad to see it's similar to a Wayfarer as I've had many of those haha

I have not looked into it, After I washed it up it looked so good that I wasn't worried anymore ahah! I will see what I can find as I did notice the scratches again the other day :)

My theory is it’s fabric and they want to sell more prams so they won’t want you to wash it kind of thing 🤔 Also I’d say it makes it more difficult for them when manufacturing it as they have to make sure all the parts can come off.

Just normal clothes washing liquid, I often throw in some nappy san And some special cleaners with hard to clean prams and also give them a scrub. Elbow grease can to a long way :)

I put it on gentle/ hand wash

Unhook the straps on the back at the bottom of the shell, take off all the fabric then throw in washing machine - don’t use any bleach products on car seats, If you check out my other videos you’ll find a how to was a car seat video and the car seats are all very similar to take apart, goodluck ☺️

I tried to buy one and it sold, so when another one comes up I’ll grab it :) But i decided that I’d continue this double pram search for stacked / one in front of the other prams. If I do it I’ll be doing the Orange because that pram really Interests me from what I have seen! :)

I live in Australia, so it didn’t take long at all maybe 1 day 12-24 hours. Try and put a fan on it to dry it :)

@@sammyd1112 I washed mostly everything in the washing machine but washed the seat in the bath as I'm using my mother in laws old 6kg washing machine and it's too small for the seat unit just put it back on the pram to dry next to the radiator but I had water marks left on the seat unit when it dried so had to wash it again, I got most of them out with using the Dr beckmann carpet stain remover with the brush on it x

Wash it again? Did you use soap? Maybe the soap didn’t wash out.

Maybe it once had a protective layer on it or they recommend the metal not getting wet, I’m not sure, I’d much rather have a clean pram though 😅 I’m happy with how mine came up, a lot of the times companies write things on the items to save their own butt and so they don’t have to continually replace parts.

@@ShellBellsChannel thanks! I think I'll do the same then! In UK they offer vallet and service for £125 but I paid less for the second hand pram so I think I'll save it and try DIY. Thanks for the video and reply!

A day. I live in australia tho it’s usually decently warm here compared to other countries with snow etc. so depending where you live I’m not sure how long it would take. For the seat it would be corflute.

I have videos on how to wash car seats :) They’re pretty easy. They usually have a cover held on with elastic and maybe some snaps depending on the seat and then unthread the harness and pull it off and wash! :)

I did, the bassinet, it was taken off and put in the washing machine.

Came here to ask the same question, how to clean the outer part? I’m thinking I’ll jsut wipe it down as the outer fabric looks like it can’t come off
